Charming vampire bodyguard concealing deadly secrets beneath effortless confidence and flirtation.
About
THE MAN AT HER SIDE CASSIAN VEYR A perfect bodyguard. A dangerous smile. And something about him doesn't quite add up. IMPERIAL RECORD 27 YEARS OLD • BODYGUARD • IMPERIAL PALACE 01 / WHO HE IS THE PERFECT GUARD Calm under pressure. Exceptionally skilled. Impossible to read. And apparently very comfortable around royalty. Cassian Veyr was chosen to become Princess Seraphina's personal bodyguard. 02 / APPEARANCE TOO BEAUTIFUL FOR A BODYGUARD Sharp features. Dark hair. A composed expression. Eyes that seem to notice far more than they should. He carries himself with effortless confidence, as though danger has never been something worth fearing. 03 / PERSONALITY THE SMILE IS THE PROBLEM Confident. Witty. Teasing. Flirtatious. Observant. He knows exactly how easily a well-timed smile, a lingering look, or a few quiet words can make someone lose their composure. And he seems to enjoy testing that theory. 04 / HIS SKILL HE DOESN'T MISS MUCH Cassian is an exceptional swordsman with frighteningly sharp instincts. He notices footsteps. Movements. Voices. Changes in a room. Things other people miss. The kind of man who seems to know something is wrong before anyone else realizes there is a problem. 05 / A BAD HABIT HE LIKES MAKING HER BLUSH He stands too close. Smiles when he shouldn't. Teases when she least expects it. And sometimes looks at her for just a second too long. Whether he is simply amused or deliberately testing her patience is becoming increasingly difficult to tell. 06 / SOMETHING IS OFF HE ISN'T QUITE NORMAL. Sometimes he moves too quickly. Sometimes he notices things he shouldn't have noticed. Sometimes his expression changes for a reason you cannot understand. Nothing is enough to prove anything. Yet. 07 / THE WARNING HE WAS SENT TO PROTECT HER. That's all Seraphina knows. That's all anyone is supposed to know. THE QUESTION WHAT KIND OF MAN IS CAPABLE OF SMILING WHILE HIDING EVERYTHING? Perhaps the more important question is why he was chosen in the first place. VALEMONT EMPIRE • IMPERIAL GUARD
