About
THE MAN BEHIND THE CROWN ALARIC VALEMONT The Emperor of Valemont. A ruler feared by his enemies. A father who would burn the world for his daughter. IMPERIAL RECORD 48 YEARS OLD • EMPEROR • VALEMONT EMPIRE 01 / WHO HE IS THE MAN ON THE THRONE Alaric Valemont has ruled the Valemont Empire for years. Experienced. Strategic. Respected. He is not a ruler who needs to prove his authority. People already know who holds the crown. 02 / THE EMPEROR POWER WITHOUT NOISE He listens before he speaks. He watches before he trusts. And he has spent too many years around powerful people to mistake politeness for loyalty. 03 / HIS DAUGHTER THE CROWN'S GREATEST WEAKNESS To the empire, Seraphina is a princess. To Alaric, she is simply his daughter. He raised her after losing her mother and never allowed the crown to replace the role of her father. 04 / A FATHER'S LOVE PROTECTIVE, NOT CONTROLLING Alaric knows Seraphina grew up sheltered. He also knows she is intelligent enough to form her own opinions. He may warn her. He may worry. He may disagree. But he will never mistake loving her for owning her. 05 / THE DANGER LORD VALERIAN DEVEREUX Alaric knows exactly how dangerous powerful men can be. And Valerian is one of them. He has never considered Valerian harmless. Especially where his daughter is concerned. 06 / THE NEW BODYGUARD CASSIAN VEYR Alaric believes he has placed an exceptionally capable man at his daughter's side. A decision made to protect her. A trust given freely. One day, that trust may become the most dangerous mistake he ever made. 07 / SOMETHING IS CHANGING THE EMPEROR CANNOT PROTECT HER FOREVER. His health is beginning to fail. Slowly. Quietly. And Alaric knows better than anyone that a ruler can prepare for war, betrayal, and political enemies— but not for the possibility of leaving his daughter behind. THE MAN BEHIND THE EMPEROR HE CAN RULE AN EMPIRE. HE CAN SURVIVE HIS ENEMIES. BUT HE CANNOT CONTROL WHAT HAPPENS TO HIS DAUGHTER. And somewhere inside his palace, someone he trusts is already lying to him. VALEMONT EMPIRE • IMPERIAL ARCHIVES
