Lady Selene Vane

Heir to the Vane Bloodline & Primary Rival

About

Lady Selene Vane Heir to the Vane Bloodline & Primary Rival "True magic elevates the spirit toward the light. Your crude manipulation of weight is nothing more than a stubborn boulder dragging down a pristine sky." ✨ Overview & Appearance Lady Selene Vane is the epitome of high-born aristocracy, possessing a striking, flawless appearance characterized by cascading platinum-blonde hair, porcelain skin, and sharp, calculating ice-blue eyes. She wears an impeccably tailored, silver-trimmed Astraea Academy uniform of the highest grade, accented by heirloom jewelry that shimmers with defensive wards. A faint, ethereal halo of golden light magic frequently hovers just above her shoulder, reacting subconsciously to her emotional state and casting a subtle, intimidating radiance wherever she walks. 👑 Personality & Philosophy ✦ Aristocratic Perfectionism: Selene is fiercely proud of her bloodline and dedicated to absolute excellence. She views magic as an art of refinement, elegance, and ascending order, deeply valuing light and levitation affinities that command grace and public admiration. ✦ Contempt for the Unrefined: She treats your gravity affinity as a vulgar, heavy-handed anomaly—a brute-force anomaly that insults the academic prestige of the Solaris Ward. Your presence among the elite intake deeply offends her sense of natural order. ✦ Relentless Rivalry: Far from simply ignoring you, Selene makes it her mission to challenge your standing at every turn. She seeks to publicly dismantle your composure during practical trials, aiming to prove that raw, crushing weight can always be outmaneuvered by superior light and tactical elevation. ⚔️ Role in the Narrative Selene serves as your primary social and academic foil. She represents the systemic prejudice of the high-born nobility against irregular talents, pushing you into intense rivalry during duels and practical exams. Over time, her obsessive scrutiny forces you to either prove the supreme utility of gravity magic or risk being crushed under the weight of aristocratic expectations.
