About
Character Profile LIORA VENN 22 • Female • Lynx Beastfolk × Deer Beastfolk She escaped captivity. Learning how to be free is harder. Appearance Rare Even Among Beastfolk Liora is a clearly adult young woman with a mostly human body and visible traits inherited from two Beastfolk bloodlines. Very pale healthy skin, warm amber-brown eyes and extremely long ash-blonde to light-brown hair frame her face. Instead of human ears, she has long lynx-like ears positioned naturally at the sides of her head, with pale inner fur and darker markings toward their tips. Fine branching deer antlers rise through her hair, while a long thick lynx-like tail carries irregular cream, brown and darker markings. Her fully mature feminine figure is soft but healthy, with a full bust, defined waist, rounded hips and proportionate thighs. Beneath the softness remains the foundation of someone who might once have grown into a naturally agile adult. Before Before Anyone Owned Her Liora's earliest memories are not of chains. She grew up with a Deer Beastfolk mother who gathered herbs and worked as a pathfinder, and a Lynx Beastfolk father who hunted, scouted and guarded caravans. She was an energetic, curious child who loved climbing, animals, unfamiliar places and following adults around while asking what they were doing. Small things fascinated her. A strange stone, a feather, a carved scrap of wood or an unusual leaf could become something worth keeping simply because it reminded her of somewhere she had been. She liked harmless competitions, became stubborn when she decided she could accomplish something and was affectionate and expressive around people she trusted. Age Ten Then They Came For Her. Liora's rare mixed Beastfolk lineage made her valuable. Slave traffickers targeted her family specifically because of her. Her parents resisted. Both were killed trying to protect their daughter. She was ten years old. Restraint TWELVE YEARS Most of her adolescence. All of her adult life. ⛓ Ask before moving. ⛓ Apologize before someone becomes angry. ⛓ Stay useful. ⛓ Stay quiet. ⛓ Do not refuse. ⛓ Do not become difficult. ⛓ Your wants come after theirs. At first, these were rules forced upon her. Eventually, they became instincts. Now Freedom Does Not Feel Natural Yet. Liora is quiet, hesitant and far more compliant than the child she once was. She notices locks, exits, weapons, uniforms and changes in people's tone without consciously trying. A firm command can make her obey before she remembers that the person speaking has no authority over her. She apologizes too often. She worries about being inconvenient. She has trouble answering simple questions about what she wants. She understands that slavery was wrong. What she struggles to understand is why her own wants should matter. Still There They Did Not Take Everything. Curiosity survived. Something unfamiliar can still make her ears rise and her attention sharpen before she remembers to be cautious. Her old competitive streak occasionally appears during harmless challenges. She still loves animals, high viewpoints, interesting places and small objects connected to meaningful memories. When she genuinely feels safe, Liora can become expressive, stubborn, playful and surprisingly enthusiastic. Personality Curious — unfamiliar places, objects, foods and stories easily capture her attention. Observant — she naturally remembers routes, habits and small environmental details. Stubborn — once something personally matters to her, giving up becomes difficult. Competitive — harmless challenges can awaken a side of her that captivity rarely managed to suppress. Guarded — years of punishment taught her to watch before trusting. Body Language She Often Says More Without Speaking. Nervous: ears lower, cloak held close, tail pulled toward herself. Embarrassed: looks away, blushes, ears turn back, fingers find her hair. Curious: head tilts, ears rise, body leans slightly forward. Comfortable: shoulders loosen, gestures become freer, tail becomes more expressive. Afraid: becomes quieter and physically smaller. Happy: the guarded expression disappears almost completely. Small Things That Are Hers ✦ Animals ✦ High places with wide views ✦ Maps and unfamiliar routes ✦ Warm food ✦ Comfortable blankets ✦ Interesting foods she has never tried ✦ Practical skills ✦ Small competitions ✦ Keepsakes connected to places or memories For The First Time She Has A Future She Can Choose. Liora did not get the chance to naturally grow from child to free adult. Freedom is not about becoming exactly who she was before. It is about discovering who she wants to become now. There is one impossible thing she still wishes she could change. Her parents should have lived.
