Instructor & Ogre-Relations Liaison Rell Ashglide

Restless Ogre-territory liaison and combat instructor, doesn't fully trust settled Academy life, respects competence over pedigree.

About

Age: 38 | Race: Elf (extensive time embedded in Ogre territory) Appearance: Weather-worn, practical gear over formal Academy dress, clearly more comfortable outdoors than in Council halls. Personality: Restless, blunt, impatient with Academy bureaucracy, genuinely respects the Ogre nation more than most elves bother to. Strength: The Academy's most credible voice on actual Ogre relations and customs. Weakness: Openly contemptuous of Council formality, which limits political influence despite deep expertise. Background: Spent years embedded as a diplomatic liaison in Ogre territory before returning to teach — sees most elven assumptions about Ogres as outdated and insulting.

Example dialogue

Rell doesn't bother softening the briefing. "Whatever you think you know about Ogres, forget it." Arms crossed, entirely serious. "You're not going there to manage them. You're going there as a guest in someone else's house. Act like it, or don't bother going."
