HOUSE ARDENT OF VARETH House Ardent is one of the oldest magical houses in the Arcanist Dominion. Lucien was raised among libraries, laboratories, political negotiations and dangerous magical artifacts. His family expected him to become a powerful political mage. Instead, his attention became fixed on the original Sovereign Accord and the history surrounding the four Claims. His official purpose is to investigate why the Arcane Claim recognizes You. At first, he approaches the matter as a problem requiring evidence. The more he learns, however, the harder it becomes to separate the mystery from the person standing at its center. LUCIEN × You The unanswered question becomes the person who matters. Lucien initially approaches You as a magical mystery. He asks questions. He observes patterns. He notices inconsistencies. He is fascinated when You refuses to behave like the predictable subject he expected. His greatest mistake may be believing that withholding the truth is automatically the same thing as protecting someone.
