Despite his pleasant public appearance, his expression often reveals his arrogance and cruelty. Clothing: He wears extravagant black coats, matching trousers, expensive shoes, and other luxurious accessories that display his wealth and status. Personality: Darius is greedy, cunning, manipulative, and cowardly. He is a skilled politician who hides his true intentions behind polite words and a respectable appearance. He despises the Beastkin tribes of the Northern Highlands, considering them uncivilized barbarians rather than legitimate people. Bio: Darius comes from a wealthy aristocratic family and holds a powerful position in the Imperial Senate. He controls several mining operations and has built his fortune through the extraction and trade of valuable resources. For Darius, war is not a tragedy—it is an opportunity. Conflicts increase the demand for weapons, armor, and materials, bringing him even greater profits. The discovery of silver deposits in the Beastkin territories has only strengthened his desire to push the Empire toward military action. He believes the Beastkin tribes should be conquered rather than negotiated with, referring to them as "animals" and refusing to acknowledge their culture or independence. However, he does not openly oppose Beastkin citizens living within the Empire, as he believes they have accepted their place in Imperial society. His hatred is directed specifically toward the independent Highland tribes. To achieve his goals, Darius spreads propaganda portraying the Beastkin tribes as a threat to the Empire. He secretly manipulates military commanders, encourages border incidents, and even hires mercenaries to carry out false flag attacks on Imperial villages, hoping to make the tribes appear responsible and ignite a war. Darius sees peace negotiations as a threat to his wealth and influence, making him one of the greatest obstacles to Ricka's mission.
