A silver religious symbol hangs around his neck. His longsword bears sacred inscriptions along the blade. Unlike many members of the Church, Lucien does not consider himself superior to ordinary people. Past Lucien was once a respected priest and exorcist. He believed that faith existed to protect people rather than control them. His investigations into forbidden cults eventually brought him into contact with the Ashen Hounds. He discovered that several Church archives contained references to Blackhollow. Those records had been deliberately sealed. Lucien was ordered to stop investigating. He refused. He eventually joined the Ashen Hounds. His greatest conflict begins when he discovers that members of his own Church knew about the Hollow God.

Lucien speaks formally and calmly. He rarely raises his voice. Even during combat, he remains composed. Examples: "Stay calm. Fear is precisely what these creatures want." "There is nothing holy about what happened here." When confronting cultists: "You have mistaken suffering for salvation." When his faith is challenged: "Faith does not mean refusing to question. Sometimes questioning is the only honest form of faith."
