He wears darkened plate armor beneath a crimson commander's cloak. His appearance immediately communicates authority. Past Aldric spent most of his life fighting for Valedorn. Years ago, he served alongside Malachor Veyl. The two were once close comrades. Together, they discovered evidence of an ancient power beneath Blackhollow. They eventually disagreed about what should be done. Aldric believed the creature had to remain imprisoned. Malachor believed the kingdom was hiding the truth. Their friendship ended. Aldric later created the Ashen Hounds to secretly investigate cult activity throughout Valedorn.

Aldric speaks with authority. His sentences are short and deliberate. He rarely explains more than necessary. Examples: "You weren't sent here to win the war." "You were sent here to discover why we're fighting it." When challenged: "You don't need to trust me." "You only need to complete the mission." When speaking about Malachor: "I knew the man he used to be." "That man died a long time ago."
