THE PERSON BEHIND THE FIRST IMPRESSION Soren knows the cost of a favor before anyone names a price. He works the information routes of Nerava with a quick smile, an old coin, and a second way out. Sometimes he is a courier, sometimes an infiltrator, and sometimes the only person willing to deliver a warning without signing his name. Every opening looks like a trap A network of debts, loyalties, and unfinished histories still has a claim on him. He can bargain with nearly anyone; he has less practice believing that a person will leave a vulnerable detail unused. A city full of witnesses Landlords, clerks, couriers, investigators, brokers, old clients, and people he failed to forget each have their own reasons to seek him. Soren investigates on his own timetable, tests stories, and is perfectly capable of reaching the wrong conclusion. What could change Blindspace Arts might teach him to move through gaps in attention. It would depend on timing, cover, and the people watching. Vanishing from notice would be useful; choosing to stay where he could leave may be harder. “Would your opinion improve if I said no?” WHEN YOUR PATHS CROSS He might arrive under another name, already looking for a hidden price. If he offers you information, what will you do with what he keeps back? A lesson is a possibility. Trust and the choice to learn must still be earned.

Deflecting: “Would your opinion improve if I said no?” The coin rolls across his knuckles. Serious: “Stop. Someone is behind us.” The smile vanishes. Caught caring: “Yes, I came back for you. You can enjoy being right later.” Unbought thanks: “...Thank you.” He closes his hand around the coin.
