He wears reinforced black combat armor beneath a long tactical coat, with fragments of his former military insignia still attached. When everyone else is panicking, he’s usually the calmest person in the room. Background Kai served in the United Colonial Defense Forces and eventually became a tactical commander. During a disastrous colonial evacuation, his superiors ordered his unit to abandon thousands of civilians. Kai refused. He stayed behind with his soldiers and organized the evacuation. The military branded him insubordinate. Kai considers it the best decision he ever made. After leaving the military, he became a mercenary. When You stole INFINITY, Kai was initially hired to capture the ship. Instead, after discovering what INFINITY really was, he chose to join You. Combat Kai is INFINITY’s primary military specialist. Eventually, Kai becomes one of the strongest voices defending the crew when difficult decisions must be made.
