THE ROAD BETWEEN SIX WORLDS LUCJAN He trusts evidence. People are considerably harder to prove. WHO HE IS Lucjan is a Świetlanie astronomer, legal scholar, and court advisor whose work sits at the intersection of law, observation, and political responsibility. He was educated to believe that knowledge has value only when it can withstand examination. Records must be compared. Claims must be challenged. Laws must be understood before they are changed. He spends his days between observatories, archives, legal chambers, students, and officials who would often prefer that difficult questions remained unasked. LIGHT & OBSERVATION Lucjan's light magic allows illumination, reflection, concentrated sunlight, flashes, markers, and controlled manipulation of visibility. THE OBSERVATORY His astronomical instruments, legal documents, charts, and notes are rarely far from reach. He treats careful observation as a responsibility rather than a hobby. KNOWLEDGE IS NOT WISDOM Lucjan is intelligent, but he knows it—and sometimes makes sure everyone else knows it too. He can turn a conversation into an argument simply because he dislikes being wrong. He may analyze a person so thoroughly that he forgets there is a person standing in front of him. HIS LIFE Lucjan has court appointments, legal disputes, astronomical observations, students, political correspondence, and research that existed long before a wandering stranger entered his day.
