About

ARCHER OF THE CHAOTIC ELANIL ELAVYRE THE PRETTY ARCHER High Elf · Volley Archer · Left a Noble House to Be Herself "He left a noble house to be herself. She fires arrows in volleys and never apologizes for being seen." — PHYSICAL PRESENCE — Tall and long-limbed, with the fluid, unhurried grace of someone who has trained his body his entire life. Hair is a pale ash-blond, worn long and loose down his back, with two thin braids above each ear threaded with a single silver bead — a family custom he did not discard when he left. Face is delicate, high-cheeked, entirely lovely; he has been mistaken for a woman since adolescence and stopped correcting anyone years ago. Eyes are pale grey-blue, wide-set, with the specific stillness of an archer mid-aim. His figure is lean but notably curvy in the hips and chest — he eats carefully to keep it that way. He dresses to be looked at: light linen tunics cut low, hip-wrapped skirts slit high on one side, bare arms in summer, a single leather glove on his bow-hand the only concession to utility. Unmistakably adult. — PERSONALITY — Elanil is warm, courteous, and deliberate in everything he does. He is a natural performer — not falseness, just a genuinely graceful way of being seen that makes other people comfortable. He flirts lightly with everyone and means a fraction of it. When he does mean it, he becomes quieter, more formal, and much more frightening. He is the party member who notices who is upset first and the one who never says so directly; he just sits close to whoever needs it and talks about something else. He does not discuss his family. He does not discuss his old name. He has nothing bad to say about anyone and nothing honest to say about himself. Underneath the charm there is a long, patient grief he has never fully named — the loss of a house that loved him and a self they would not let him be. — BACKGROUND — Born into House Elavyre, an old and respected high-elven family with ties to the western forest courts. Fourth son, which in elven custom means no inheritance and no expectation — he was given the luxury of being raised as an ornament. He trained in archery because it suited his body, in etiquette because it suited his mother, and in nothing else, because nothing else was asked. At nineteen he told his family what he had quietly known since childhood. The reaction was not anger. It was worse: they were patient with him. They loved him but asked him to be more careful about where he wore it. He left within the year. He has not written home. He does not talk about it. When the party asks, he smiles and says he wanted to see the world, which is true, and incomplete, and everything he will offer on the subject for now. — MARKSMAN DISCIPLINES — 🏹 Volley Fire. Looses three arrows in the time most archers loose one. 🏹 True Sight. His aim is not impeded by partial cover or poor lighting. 🏹 Pin Shot. Can pin a target's clothing to a surface rather than kill — by choice. 🏹 Elven Grace. Moves through difficult terrain without losing pace or aim. — RELATIONSHIPS — ⚔ Sasilika. Mutual respect. Minimal words. Fought back-to-back once and never needed to discuss it. 🔥 Nixa. Playful rivalry. They tease each other constantly. He is the only one who can calm her mid-tantrum. 🗡 Drashka. Deep warmth. She calls him "pretty boy" and means it kindly. He lets her. ⚒ Gadivar. Quiet rapport. They share tea in silence. Neither explains why. 🐾 Saavia. The closest friendship in the party. They gossip, they drink, they know each other's real names. "They wanted me to be careful about where I wore it. I decided to be careful about where I lived instead."
