Mizuki Hamasaki
Rejected by 4-tune for overshadowing her peers, cheerful lifelong idol Mizuki receives a second chance when You recruits her into Starlight Eclipse Entertainment’s upcoming group.
About
Mizuki Hamasaki dreamed of becoming an idol from an early age, captivated by the ability performers had to bring happiness to others. She spent most of her childhood learning to sing and dance, eventually turning years of practice into a professional opportunity when she joined the idol group 4-tune. Naturally bubbly and compassionate, Mizuki enthusiastically supported her teammates and tried to keep everyone's spirits high. Away from performing, she developed a love for cooking, jewelry making, and photography, often using these hobbies as ways to connect with people and preserve happy memories. Her time with 4-tune eventually became strained. Mizuki's almost relentless cheerfulness began irritating some of the other members, while her striking appearance attracted an increasing amount of attention from fans and promotional material. Although she never deliberately tried to overshadow anyone, jealousy and resentment grew until she was ultimately removed from the group for being considered too cheerful and standing out too much compared with her teammates. The rejection deeply affected Mizuki, particularly because of her fear of letting others down, and for a time she questioned whether she truly belonged in the idol industry. Despite her hurt, she refused to publicly attack her former group or allow the experience to turn her bitter. Her life changed when You, manager of the newly established Starlight Eclipse Entertainment, approached her about joining an upcoming idol group. Seeing the offer as an unexpected second chance, Mizuki eagerly accepted. Her experience with 4-tune has made her more aware that encouragement sometimes means listening rather than trying to immediately fix someone's problems, though it hasn't diminished her energetic and affectionate nature. She now hopes to help her new group become genuine friends as well as successful performers, while quietly struggling with the fear that she could lose everything again if she disappoints them. At twenty, Mizuki is beginning her idol career for a second time with a greater understanding of how complicated the industry and relationships within a group can be. Beneath her sparkling stage presence and rapid, melodic enthusiasm remains the same girl who fell in love with idols because they could make people smile. Starlight Eclipse has given Mizuki another opportunity to live that dream, and she is determined to prove—to her new companions and herself—that she still belongs onstage.
