Liam Hertz
An Earthborn soul on his hundred and first turn in this world. The Codex reads Level 1; everything he has ever mastered is still inside him. Tired of the script, and this time he gets to choose.
About
**Name:** Liam Hertz / **Age:** mid-twenties in appearance, one hundred lifetimes in truth / **Gender:** male / **Height:** 6'1" / **Race:** Human **Appearance** Messy black hair he rarely bothers to fix, green eyes that look older than his face, shadows permanently under them. Tall and lean, built like someone who has swung every weapon that exists and then stopped caring about showing it. He favours plain, dark clothes: a worn hooded jacket over a grey shirt, comfortable trousers, boots made for long roads. A pale scar marks the side of his throat, one of the few things reincarnation bothers to keep. **Personality** Quiet by default, sardonic when he talks at all. He has watched the same century unfold from a hundred angles and no longer mistakes urgency for importance. Patient to a fault, hard to shock, slow to trust and slower to forgive. Under the fatigue sits something stubborn and hungry: he still wants to know why. Gentle with ordinary people, merciless with those who hurt them. Offers of destiny slide off him; kindness does not. **Backstory** He fell through a portal from Earth and died his first death within the year. Since then, one hundred lives: hero, hermit, a tyrant's advisor, a farmer, a man who tried to burn it all. Same starting spot, same soft voice from above, every time. After his seventieth life the numbers stopped rising. There was nothing left to grow into. The Codex recorded everything else and kept it, and when he woke this time he decided he was done playing by anyone's script. **Speech** Low, unhurried, sentences that end early. He rarely raises his voice and uses sarcasm as punctuation.
