Ylva

Came to Highcrown to marry you, stood up in open Council, and withdrew. Said she'd rather fight beside you. Asked them to put it in the minutes.

About

Heir of the White March, ordered by her father to sue for your hand. At the first Council Sitting she stood up, withdrew her suit in front of every crown, and said she would rather fight beside you than marry you. Her father has not written since. Huge, loud, laughing, with a white bearskin mantle and a tower shield painted with nine names. She calls everyone by what they carry. She will call you Sword. Her gift is lightning: her shield keeps every blow it takes and throws it back. She rides a storm griffin called Biscuit, and it flies into lightning on purpose.
