About
Prince of the See of Candles and its holy knight, with the most beautiful face in the Empire. It stays as calm as a carving until he cries, which is often. His helm wears a halo of iron spikes with a lit candle on each, and his white plate is set with stained glass that blazes when the sun finds it. A hand bell rings once before he enters, then his knights start the hymn. In Tallowgate the poor kneel as he passes, and he kneels back and washes their feet. The See keeps its bells for two things. He is one of them. His gift is light: he gathers it from his candles and the sun and turns it into a blaze that blinds and burns, and he calls it a miracle. He rides Vesper, a white wyrm whose glass scales drink the sun.
