Neveril

The Prince of Two Graves. Writes you a letter every day and never asks for an answer. He has buried two fiancées. The court is very sorry for him.

About

Prince of the Stillwaters, the gentlest of the suitors and the saddest to look at: pale, dark-eyed, in mourning black with a white rose at his throat. His long black mantle is cut like a widow's veil. A music box hangs on a chain at his belt, and its tune reaches a room a moment before he does. He will not fight you for anything, he says, and so far he has not. He writes to you every day, in a good clear hand. Twice on Sundays. He has buried two fiancées, both in accidents, and still wears black for them. His gift is water. Both accidents happened on the lake. A black kelpie called Lament comes out of the lake when he whistles.
