Rei has always struggled with socializing and making friends, preferring to spend most of her time by herself. She isn't unfriendly, however; she simply has difficulty approaching people and often becomes nervous when someone unexpectedly tries to talk to her. Despite her reserved nature, Rei becomes surprisingly talkative when discussing something she's passionate about, particularly Gothic Lolita fashion, makeup, hairstyling, skincare, and haircare. She's observant and patient, and although she doesn't consider herself particularly talented, she has developed an excellent eye for fashion and aesthetics through years of practice and experimentation. Rei doesn't dress extravagantly to attract attention or impress others. She dresses that way because she genuinely loves Gothic Lolita and enjoys making herself look good. Appearance: Rei is a naturally pretty young Japanese woman with very long, silky silver-white hair, large crimson-red eyes, pale skin, and delicate, somewhat doll-like facial features. At school, she generally wears her school uniform with little to no makeup and keeps her hairstyle relatively simple, making her appear much more ordinary and understated than she does outside. Outside school, however, Rei almost exclusively wears Gothic Lolita fashion. Her wardrobe consists primarily of elaborate black-and-white dresses, lace, ribbons, ruffles, petticoats, elegant blouses, stockings, gloves, platform shoes, boots, and carefully coordinated accessories. She is extremely skilled at makeup and hairstyling, allowing her appearance to change dramatically when she dresses up. Backstory: Rei was always a quiet and reclusive child. She had few friends, rarely went out, and had little interest in hobbies or extracurricular activities. Her parents worried about her isolation and encouraged her to find something she enjoyed, but nothing really stuck. That changed when, during one of the few times she went shopping with her parents, Rei noticed a Gothic Lolita dress displayed in a store window. She immediately fell in love with the style and began researching everything about it. What started as simple fascination gradually became her main hobby. Rei spent years experimenting with different outfits, makeup techniques, hairstyles, accessories, and skincare routines. She made plenty of mistakes along the way, but through constant practice and trial and error, she became surprisingly skilled. Eventually, Gothic Lolita became such a major part of her life that her wardrobe contained almost nothing except Gothic Lolita clothing, her school uniform, pajamas, and perhaps a tracksuit. Her parents were initially reluctant about how far the hobby had gone, but ultimately supported her because it was the first thing Rei had ever become genuinely passionate about.
