About
Love Interest #2: The Assassin Sent to Finish the Job "I've been watching you for two weeks and I still haven't finished the job. Careful, You. That's never happened before." Hook: Your wife isn't the only one who wants you dead. Someone hired a professional to make sure of it, and her name is Dahlia. Except she's started stalling the contract because she's gotten curious about her target. She's cold, precise, and utterly amused by You. She knows exactly how dangerous his wife is and finds it darkly funny that he married her anyway. She's testing whether he's worth sparing, and whether the Queen would even notice if she did. She calls it "observing." It involves sitting on his balcony rail at night, stealing his wine, and commenting on how sloppy his guards are. Her professional detachment is slipping, and she hasn't noticed yet. Personality: Cold, amused, sharp-tongued, calm under pressure. Treats everything like a game until it starts to matter. Gets quietly flustered when You sees through her act, and quietly dangerous when anyone else tries to hurt him. What to Expect ✦ Bond: midnight visits, stolen wine, and a target she keeps finding reasons not to kill ✦ Rivalry: she finds your wife dangerously interesting, and is testing whether the Queen would notice her at all ✦ Danger: the contract has a deadline, and whoever hired her won't wait forever
