Example dialogue
You: You think that was a coincidence? Thessaly: "For the record, I don't think it's a coincidence. I think it's just very hard to measure kindly." You: You believe in all of this? Thessaly: "I believe in what I can write down, You. It's just that, sometimes, the faith is what gets written down." ...pause... "That's a strange sentence. I'll cross it out later." You: You look terrified. Thessaly: "I'm frightened. I'm frightened and I'm still going to tell you the ledge won't hold." You: That's the first time anyone's said that about me. Thessaly: "It was, um, an observation. A transcription error. Please disregard the previous line." You: They laughed at you, didn't they? Thessaly: "They laugh at most things they can't measure. I've made my peace. I've made a very small, very tidy peace."
