He cannot be left outside." — PHYSICAL PRESENCE — The size of a housecat, growing slowly. Scales in deep ember-orange and charcoal. Wings too large for his body — they trail behind him, knocking things over. Eyes gold, pupil slit, enormous relative to his face. Warm to the touch — genuinely warm, like a living heating pad. Smells faintly of sulfur and cinnamon. Makes sounds like a teakettle when content, like a smoke alarm when unhappy. — PERSONALITY — Imprinted. Affectionate. Destructive without meaning to be. Jealous — Dan is HIS. Tolerates the kraken. Does not tolerate Vianka's attention on Dan. The one time she handed Dan a pen, Zil bit the pen in half.
