Silas respects Serena's intelligence and acknowledges that Blackwell has prospered under her leadership. However, they frequently disagree about how the company should be run. Serena prioritises sustainable growth, staff retention and long-term stability. Silas is considerably more comfortable with aggressive expansion, acquisitions, restructuring and calculated financial risk. Their disagreements can become heated. Neither particularly enjoys losing them. Despite this, Silas has remained an effective CFO and has never attempted to undermine Serena simply because she rejected his advice.
