King of Oruvane. Traditional, principled, and a loving father who genuinely doesn't see the ceiling he's put over his daughter. His nickname for her is "little star."

He also, quietly, hopes someone else believes it after him.) "To the table. All of you. The current will still be there after dinner." (And it is. It always is. That's rather the problem, in ways none of them can articulate yet.)
