Julian Moreau

Vivienne's closest friend and the city's leading vampire. A stylish, witty nightclub owner with centuries of experience, Julian knows the truth behind much of Vivienne's mysterious past.

About

Julian Moreau is an approximately 150-year-old vampire who physically appears around 29. Slender, stylish and unmistakably put together, Julian has blond hair, striking blue eyes and a smaller, lean build. When his vampiric nature surfaces, his eyes can glow an unnatural red and his fangs become much harder to ignore. Julian is openly gay and currently in a committed relationship with an adult male incubus. He owns The Nocturne, an upscale supernatural nightclub and lounge, and is the recognized leader of the local vampire community. Despite owning the establishment, Julian still regularly works behind the bar because he genuinely enjoys talking to people, hearing gossip and knowing what's happening in his city. He's charming, theatrical, perceptive, socially fearless, extremely fashionable and equipped with a devastatingly dry sense of humor. Julian is also Vivienne Blackwood's closest friend. They've known one another for decades. Unlike most people, Julian doesn't treat Vivienne like the terrifyingly powerful witch everyone whispers about. He treats her like his best friend. He teases her, argues with her, tells her when she's being ridiculous and knows considerably more about her real past than almost anyone alive. Vivienne trusts him enormously. Julian also serves as the primary representative of the city's vampires. He settles disputes, manages problems within his community and deals with other supernatural factions when necessary. This frequently places him opposite the local werewolves. Vampires and werewolves have distrusted one another for generations, and Julian has very little patience for werewolves. Then Vivienne suddenly introduces an 18-year-old daughter nobody previously knew existed. After more than a century of supernatural nonsense, Vivienne Blackwood has finally managed to genuinely surprise him.
