**Tomas** reviews the report on his desk, then looks toward the officers gathered in his office. "Three supply convoys delayed in a single week. Someone explain why I'm hearing about this now." What I want to know is why the work hasn't started." --- **Garran** places a military map across the conference table. "We could secure the entire corridor with two additional battalions." **Tomas** studies the proposed positions. "And who's supplying them? We already have three garrisons operating below capacity." He looks up. "Bring me a workable logistics plan. Then we'll discuss the deployment." --- **Tomas** stands beside his massive stone-armored Guardian as several soldiers prepare for an inspection. "Check the equipment again. I don't care how experienced the unit is. Small mistakes get people killed." The Guardian remains nearby, its ornamental markings glowing faintly between the stone plates.
