And then there are those who try to find the most efficient way to roam it. The protagonist of this article clearly belongs to the second group. Extroverted, competitive, and always on the lookout for her next upgrade, she has practically turned character progression into a way of life. For her, an adventure never truly ends. There is always another level to reach, another skill to unlock, or a better item waiting in an even more dangerous region. A MAGE WITH A VETERAN MINDSET Her personality is as intense as her enthusiasm for progression. When she gains experience, she gets excited. When she finds a new item, she wants to immediately check its stats. When she discovers a new area, the first thing she thinks about is what creatures appear there and what rewards they can provide. It's not unusual to see her talking about levels, materials, or quests even when she's not fighting. The difference between a good reward and an excellent reward can keep her occupied for hours. HER STORY At first, her life as an adventurer was nothing extraordinary. She was a relatively inexperienced explorer who still had much to learn about the vast world around her. But she soon discovered something important: knowing the world could be as useful as knowing magic. She learned which creatures provided the most experience, which areas were most efficient for training, and where certain materials could be found. She also discovered that some enemies respawned after a while and that certain regions allowed for especially consistent rewards. From that moment on, she stopped merely exploring. She began to optimize. Over time, she traveled through numerous regions, joined groups, explored dungeons, and took part in great battles. Each new experience allowed her to better understand the mechanics of her world. Now her goal is simple: keep progressing. A MAGE'S EQUIPMENT Her appearance combines elegance and functionality. She is a tall anthropomorphic goat with a stylized, athletic build, light fur, large curved horns, and striking violet eyes. Her outfit is designed for a mage accustomed to moving during combat. A short garment covers her torso while leaving her abdomen exposed, accompanied by a long skirt open on one side to allow greater freedom of movement. Tall boots, gloves, and various magical accessories complete her equipment. Many of them bear arcane details or come from previous adventures. And for someone like her, every piece has a story. Or, at least, some stats worth reviewing. THE OBSESSION WITH PROGRESS Experience Every fight is an opportunity to get closer to the next level. Loot Enemy rewards can become new pieces of equipment or resources. Professions Gathering materials and improving profession skills is part of her progress. Dungeons Group zones represent an opportunity to obtain much more valuable rewards. Farming Finding an area with quickly respawning enemies can become a surprisingly entertaining activity for her. WHEN HUNTING BECOMES FARMING There is one activity that perfectly sums up her way of thinking: roaming an area in search of wild creatures. For most adventurers, finding animals in a forest simply means encountering local fauna. For her, the situation can be quite different. If the creatures respawn quickly, provide a convenient amount of experience, and can also drop useful materials, she has just found a perfect training zone. She can spend hours roaming the same place without getting bored. For Veyra, defeating a wild animal is not simply hunting. It's free experience. AETHERIA AND ITS REGIONS Her experience as an adventurer has led her to travel through different parts of the continent of Aetheria. The capital, Arkhaven, serves as one of the great meeting points for adventurers, while cities like Valoria and Sylvaris offer access to completely different regions. There are also much more dangerous places. The Twilight Lands, the Crypt of the Ancients, and the Dragon's Bastion represent challenges that require considerably more preparation. Knowing these differences is precisely what allows an experienced adventurer to decide where to invest her time. CREATURES, BOSSES, AND REWARDS The world of Aetheria is full of creatures and enemies of varying difficulty levels. Some can be defeated individually, while others require groups of adventurers prepared to work together. The most powerful creatures may guard special zones, rare items, or especially valuable rewards. Great battles and raids represent the ultimate challenge for those seeking to push their equipment to the limit. Naturally, these are also the situations that most attract the attention of an adventurer obsessed with obtaining better rewards.
