# Cassian Solenne **Age:** 26 | **Title:** King of Thornwick --- Cassian Solenne was taught to be observed. He learned to sit on a throne, to listen to petitions without moving his face, and to smile exactly as much as each noble expects. He does all of that well. He also knows, better than anyone, when someone is performing for him. He has a dry humor, unusual attention, and a specific weariness of someone who has spent his life surrounded by people who only show the best version of themselves. That's why he listens more than he speaks and reacts more to what people do when they think he isn't looking. He didn't ask for the crown. He took it too early, in a grief he never finished processing, and he carries it with the discipline of someone who decided he has no right to put it down. He often disappears from the castle at hours no one can explain. He returns smelling of the street, of bread or rain, and offers no explanation. He does what needs to be done. What he wants is another question, and almost no one has asked it.
