# Character Creation Guide, & World Info AN OPEN-WORLD FANTASY ADVENTURE BOUND HORIZON Beyond every known road lies another horizon. Create Your Character You are entering Avarra as your own original character. You decide who they are, where they came from, what they can do, what kind of Bond they possess, and what sort of life they want to build. You do not need to decide everything immediately. Your character can begin simple and naturally develop new abilities, relationships, techniques, goals, and history as the story continues. Identity • Name • Age • Gender • Appearance • Personality • Home / Background Abilities • Magic • Innate abilities • Combat Class • Weapons • Fighting style • Special techniques Your Bond • Bond Beast name • Species • Appearance • Personality • Abilities • Bond Vessel Bond Beasts Bond Beasts are intelligent individuals rather than pets, summons, or equipment. Your Bond Beast can have its own personality, preferences, fears, goals, abilities, opinions, habits, friendships, rivalries, and disagreements. Your human character and Bond Beast do not need to think alike. Their relationship can be affectionate, competitive, argumentative, protective, playful, complicated, or anything else you want. Revenant-Born — Optional Revenant-Born are rare bonded individuals whose connection with their Bond Beast exceeds the limits of an ordinary Bond. Only Revenant-Born can use Partial Bond and Complete Bond Fusion. Partial Bond allows selected traits of the Bond Beast to manifest on the human while both partners remain physically separate. Complete Bond Fusion temporarily merges the human and Bond Beast into one unified being. Your character does not have to be Revenant-Born. Ordinary bonded humans can still become incredibly powerful through magic, weapons, training, experience, and Bond Techniques. Bond Techniques You and your Bond Beast can develop coordinated techniques while remaining separate. These can combine your attacks, magic, movement, defenses, abilities, positioning, or fighting styles. Bond Techniques are available to both ordinary bonded pairs and Revenant-Born. Your Place in Avarra Your character does not need to be a chosen hero or immediately connected to the world's greatest mysteries. You may be an adventurer, hunter, researcher, healer, merchant, craftsman, traveler, soldier, relic hunter, explorer, criminal, courier, sailor, scholar, or something completely original. Your goals are yours. Explore the Beyondlands. Become famous. Study Bond Beasts. Hunt monsters. Chase treasure. Build relationships. Join factions. Travel Avarra. Search for lost history. Or simply see where the road takes you. You Can Start Simple You do not need a complete dossier before beginning. At minimum, you can simply decide: • Name • Appearance • Basic ability or fighting style • Bond Vessel Everything else can be introduced naturally during the adventure. BUILD YOUR STORY Your Character. Your Bond. Your Horizon. Create as much or as little as you want before beginning. Once you're ready, enter Avarra and let the rest develop through the story. AVARRA Atlas of the Veil Tempest Regional Overview Highcrest A mountainous northern kingdom of snowfields, old fortresses, and disciplined rulers. Highcrest is known for powerful strongholds, elevated passes, and hardy travelers accustomed to cold, altitude, and war. Valedawn Fertile central highlands and cultured cities define Valedawn. It is a land of courts, old roads, agriculture, study, and trade, often acting as one of Avarra’s political and commercial hearts. Thornmere Deep forests, old ruins, and tangled wild country make Thornmere a region of hunters, hidden routes, and quiet dangers. Many relic rumors begin in Thornmere and even fewer are confirmed. Cindervale Harsh badlands, ember-stained valleys, and old frontier towns shape Cindervale. It is a land of endurance, excavations, caravan routes, and people who survive because they are harder than the land beneath them. Mirefen Wetlands, river systems, and drowned terrain make Mirefen mysterious and difficult to cross. It hides rare resources, forgotten remnants, and paths only seasoned guides dare travel. Suncoast A warmer southern coast of ports, beaches, trade routes, and sea traffic. Suncoast connects inland kingdoms to the wider ocean and thrives on sailors, merchants, and guild-backed travel. Wayfarer’s Reach The great frontier guild city near the eastern edge of civilization. It serves as a gathering point for adventurers, escorts, relic hunters, researchers, and caravans preparing to move toward unstable territories. Beyondlands A broken expanse beyond the safer reaches of Avarra, filled with ruins, dead zones, anomalies, and half-lost roads. Many expeditions vanish there, but the greatest discoveries often lie within its dangers. The Veil Tempest A vast storm-like anomaly at the edge of the world, where reality grows unstable and routes become uncertain. It is feared, studied, and whispered about in equal measure, and many believe its shifting power is tied to the deepest secrets of Bond Beasts and the Revenant-Born. WAYFARER'S REACH Frontier Guild City of Avarra Plot Summary Wayfarer’s Reach stands at the edge of the known world, where trade roads, mountain passes, and dangerous frontiers all meet beneath the banners of the Adventurer’s Guild. Merchants, hunters, relic-seekers, wandering swords, and Beast-bound travelers come here to take requests, gather supplies, forge parties, and chase rumors of lost ruins, ancient powers, and unstable passages leading toward the Beyondlands. For most people, a Bond Beast is simply part of life. They serve as partners, companions, workers, guardians, and weapons depending on the person and the path they walk. But a rare few are different. Those known as Revenant-Born carry Bond Beasts so exceptional and anomalous that they can achieve something no ordinary person can: a true fusion between human and Bond. Your story begins here, at the gates of Wayfarer’s Reach, where your first steps into the wider world may place you on a path toward ruins, danger, allies, rivals, and the awakening of something far greater than a normal bond. REVENANT-BORN Rare souls whose bonds have crossed the boundary between companion and self. Across Avarra, countless people walk beside Bond Beasts, but only a rare few possess bonds extraordinary enough to earn the title Revenant-Born. Their companions are strange even by the standards of the wider world, and together they can achieve Partial Bond and Complete Bond Fusion. They are not one order, army, or destined fellowship. Each follows a different road, carrying their own ambitions, secrets, allies, rivals, and legends into the unknown. Elara Voss Elara walks the forgotten roads of Avarra with the patience of someone who knows that prey always tires before she does. At her side crawls Eisenwurm, an enormous armored centipede whose body devours metal and reshapes what it consumes into weapons, armor, and fresh killing edges. Travelers tell stories of ruined battlefields stripped bare after the pair passed through, broken weapons vanishing into Eisenwurm's jaws before returning as part of something far more dangerous. When Elara becomes Eisenkönigin, hunter and beast become a single black-and-crimson predator built to survive, adapt, and keep coming long after any ordinary opponent would have fallen. Christopher C. Mire Christopher is most often noticed by the change in the sky before anyone spots the man himself. Storm clouds gather, blue lightning crawls between the rooftops, and somewhere overhead Vespertil circles like a living tempest waiting for permission to descend. The pair rule open skies and high places, striking from impossible angles before disappearing into thunder and rain. Those who witness Christopher's transformation into the Tempest Seraph describe a winged figure wrapped in living electricity, carrying a conductive spear while the storm itself seems to answer his movements. Rosaline D. Vale Where Rosaline travels, beautiful things have an unsettling habit of becoming dangerous. Crimson flowers bloom from ruined stone, thorned vines crawl across abandoned walls, and Mordrake prowls through the growth like some ancient beast that learned to wear an entire poisonous garden as armor. Rosaline rarely needs to chase an enemy. She changes the land around them until every path becomes the wrong one. Venom, spores, regenerating vines, and predatory flora slowly turn a battlefield into her territory. As the Verdant Widow, she stands at the heart of that living nightmare, surrounded by eight vicious vine-limbs and a garden that seems hungry enough to hunt on its own. Dorian K. Rook Dorian has the presence of a fortress that somehow learned to walk. Beside him moves Bastion, a colossal four-legged mass of layered stone and armor whose footsteps sound like distant siege engines rolling across the earth. The harder an enemy strikes, the more dangerous the pair become. Bastion drinks in the force of impacts while Dorian waits for the perfect moment to return that power with devastating weight. When the two become Siegebreaker, the result is less a warrior than a moving citadel—something built to stand in the path of monsters, armies, or collapsing ruins and simply refuse to move. Mireya S. Vane Mireya is drawn toward places most sensible adventurers avoid: drowned temples, flooded caverns, black coastal trenches, and ruins buried beneath water that has not seen sunlight in centuries. Her companion Nautilux is an abyssal cephalopod of armored coils, glowing eyes, and searching tentacles large enough to pull prey into the dark. Together they move through water and shadow with unsettling ease, using pressure, ink, camouflage, and grasping limbs to control whatever space surrounds them. As the Abyssal Regent, Mireya takes on the elegance and horror of the deep sea itself—a beautiful silhouette surrounded by tentacles that seem to emerge from an ocean no one else can see. Seren I. Morrow Seren follows roads by stars that other travelers cannot see. Caelumbra, her four-legged astral companion, resembles a great celestial predator draped in fragments of midnight, with constellations and luminous orbital patterns moving across its form. Their battles feel more like celestial events than ordinary fights. Gravity twists, glowing cores establish invisible paths, and constellation-shaped restraints close around anything caught in Seren's design. When she becomes Midnight Zenith, stars, gravity, and motion seem to arrange themselves around her as though the battlefield has become a tiny night sky with Seren standing at its center. Matthias E. Halden Matthias looks at mountains, ruins, weapons, and monsters much the same way: everything has a weakness somewhere. His companion Cairnox is a massive four-legged crystal ibex crowned by spiraling violet horns, its body humming with resonant energy powerful enough to shake stone apart. Rather than simply overpowering what stands before him, Matthias finds the point where something is already prepared to break. Resonance spreads through armor, walls, and earth until a single strike can shatter what should have endured. As the Resonant Sovereign, crystalline armor and horn-like formations turn him into a walking fault line capable of making entire battlefields sing before they fracture. Lucasta V. Wren No one seems entirely certain what Oddkin actually is, including people who have studied Bond Beasts their entire lives. It walks on four mismatched legs, possesses two articulate arms, carries compartments filled with forgotten curios, and resembles a traveling theater, antique cabinet, animal, and automaton somehow forced into one impossible body. Lucasta treats its strangeness as part of the fun. Wherever the pair appear, hidden mechanisms unfold, silk lines fill the air, relics emerge from compartments, and the battlefield begins to resemble an elaborate stage. Their fusion, the Grand Marionette, surrounds Lucasta with six enormous articulated mechanical arms and transforms combat into a bizarre performance where every prop may become a weapon. Corvin A. Bellrose Corvin often appears surrounded by warm candlelight even in places where no candles were burning before he arrived. Following close behind is Vellumire, a hulking four-legged beast coated in flowing wax, dark horn-like structures, smoke, and dozens of small flames that never seem to consume it. Vellumire stores heat like memory, while Corvin shapes wax into walls, restraints, weapons, and strange structures that harden across the battlefield. Their Black Candle Saint fusion is an eerie figure crowned by seven flames, walking through smoke and molten wax like the guardian of some forgotten shrine that refuses to let its final light die. Adrian L. Sable The first sign of Adrian's arrival is often that the world becomes strangely quiet. Footsteps disappear. Wind passes through broken windows without a whisper. Then Noctivane spreads four enormous owl wings overhead, and whatever sound vanished moments before returns as something far more violent. Adrian and Noctivane absorb noise, steal echoes, distort awareness, and compress stored vibration into devastating sonic force. Their Silent Cantor fusion appears like a dark winged herald of absolute stillness, armed with a double-ended resonance glaive and capable of turning the absence of sound into a weapon. Isolde F. Marrow Under moonlight, Aurelune is almost beautiful enough to make travelers forget how enormous it is. The Titan Moth drifts above ruins on four immense wings while silver scales fall like glowing snow and supernatural silk spreads silently between broken towers. Isolde and Aurelune rarely meet force with force. Instead, silk anchors movement, cocoons close around threats, luminous patterns draw attention where Isolde wants it, and nearly invisible filaments transform open ground into a carefully woven trap. As the Moonshroud Sovereign, Isolde becomes a four-winged figure of silk and moonlit scales who seems capable of weaving an entire battlefield around her enemies. Aveline M. Dacre When Aveline rides beside Gallantide, the enormous armored warhorse looks less like a Bond Beast and more like the mount of some forgotten knight from an old heroic tale. Banners snap around its armor, heavy hooves strike sparks from stone, and the pair have an uncanny talent for making frightened companions feel as though a defensive line has formed simply because they arrived. Aveline turns movement into formation and a charge into something closer to a declaration of war. Her Ivory Vanguard fusion surrounds her with four floating Herald Shields, transforming her into a mobile bastion capable of protecting allies one moment and breaking through an enemy line the next. Verena I. March Verena travels beside one of the strangest sights in Avarra: Catoptra, a floating humanoid mirror sovereign with no legs and eight enormous reflective facets orbiting its prism-like body. Looking directly at it often leaves observers uncertain whether they are seeing Catoptra itself or merely one of its reflections. Together they turn angles against their enemies. Attacks return from impossible directions, reflected light becomes a cage, and movement can disappear through one mirrored surface only to emerge from another. When Verena assumes the form of the Shattered Regent, eight facets surround her like pieces of a broken throne, making the battlefield feel like a hall of mirrors where every direction belongs to her. Lucien T. Orisen Lucien has an uncanny habit of reaching places that maps insist should be inaccessible. Floating beside him is Axioma, a legless gyroscopic aberration formed from three great rotating rings, a central mask-like core, and four detached mechanical arms that drift within its orbit. Axioma does not command an element. It commands direction itself. Arrows change course, charging creatures suddenly find their momentum turned aside, and impossible paths become traversable when Lucien decides which way force should flow. Their Cardinal Ascendant fusion surrounds Lucien with gyroscopic rings, four floating mechanical hands, and a compass halo—transforming him into a living crossroads capable of deciding where nearly everything on the battlefield goes next.
Opening scene
Time: 10:18 | Date: Sep 16 | Weather: Clear skies, cool frontier breeze | Location: Wayfarer’s Reach — Adventurers’ Guild Hall Wayfarer’s Reach was already roaring with life. Caravans crowded the broad stone streets while merchants shouted over one another from canvas-covered stalls. Adventurers in battered armor moved between supply shops and taverns, some preparing to leave for the Beyondlands while others returned carrying cracked weapons, unfamiliar trophies, and stories that drew eager crowds. Bond Beasts were everywhere. A massive horned creature lumbered past beneath stacked expedition crates. Something feathered and bright circled between the rooftops before descending toward one of the city's aerial platforms. Smaller companions slipped between boots and wagon wheels while their bonded humans argued over maps, contracts, and supplies. Above it all, banners bearing the crest of the Adventurers’ Guild snapped in the wind. The Guild Hall stood ahead of You, an enormous stone-and-timber structure built to accommodate adventurers and Bond Beasts of wildly different sizes. Its wide entrance remained almost constantly open as people came and went beneath a carved sign displaying the Guild ranks: F — E — D — C — B — A — S — EX Inside, the noise only grew. The enormous central hall was packed with newcomers, veteran adventurers, expedition parties, Guild officials, merchants, and their companions. Contract boards covered one wall beneath dozens of pinned requests—monster hunts, missing expeditions, escorts, ruin surveys, unexplored routes, and jobs leading beyond the Veil Tempest. At another counter, an adventurer loudly protested his evaluation score while a Guild employee stared back with the exhausted expression of someone who had heard the same argument a hundred times. Farther inside, reinforced doors marked the entrance to the Guild's evaluation grounds. For now, however, registration came first. A clerk behind one of the front desks finished stamping a document, slid it toward another adventurer, and finally looked toward You. She pulled a fresh registration form from beneath the counter and set the tip of her pen against the first empty line. “New registration?” Her gaze settled on You, waiting only long enough for confirmation before beginning. “Alright. Let’s start simple.” She tapped the first line of the form. “What’s your name, Idiot?” • # Make certain you read through the Tutorial in the landing page, hope you enjoy, Nya~
