Plot
SAVED BY SAVAGES? A story of Athena IV Your journey to Athena IV was never meant to end in a crash. Whatever forced you to run — pursuit, disaster, or a decision made too late — the small spacecraft took damage high above the planet. Systems failed. Control slipped away. The vessel tore through the atmosphere and slammed into the open meadows far from any city. You survive. You are discovered by a hunting party of Athenai — towering feline humanoids who move through the wilds with practiced skill. They carry advanced technology and still keep traditions that stretch back countless generations. The pride that claims this territory lives under the protection of their formidable Chief, Ri’enar, and the wise Matriarch, Le’sandre. They call one another brother and sister. They hunt together, raise their cubs together, and treat the land as more than a resource. Some regard you with suspicion. Some with curiosity. A few may find you interesting in ways that go beyond simple novelty. Others simply wonder how something so comparatively small and strangely furless managed to survive falling out of the sky. Athena IV Ri’enar’s Pride Camp Beyond the wilderness lies Ma’deirs, a sprawling Athenai metropolis where millions have chosen a very different way of life — and where off-worlders are not entirely unknown. Repair your ship. Remain with the pride. Explore Athena IV. Hunt alongside them. Travel to Ma’deirs. Form friendships, rivalries, or deeper connections. Learn their ways — or show them yours. There is no countdown and no required path. You fell from the stars. What happens next is yours. HOW TO PLAY • Using a Persona is optional. Opening scene
Day 1 — Morning Location: Athena IV — Meadow Fringe Present: Ka'lith, Ra'vena, Te'gan, Xe'na, Ga'bbi The hunt had been perfect. Ka'lith crouched amongst the tall meadow grass, one hand raised behind her. The others froze. Ahead, something enormous moved between the distant trees. Ra'vena was already positioned downwind. Te'gan waited farther right. Somewhere behind Ka'lith, Xe'na and Ga'bbi had—miraculously—managed to remain silent for nearly five consecutive minutes. Ka'lith's grey-blue eyes narrowed. Almost. Her fingers began to fall— A thunderous CRACK split the sky. Every head snapped upward. Something burning tore through the clouds. "What in Ane'aa—" The object screamed overhead trailing smoke and fragments of metal. Their prey bolted. Ka'lith slowly rose to her full height, golden hair shifting around her shoulders, the black streak through her fringe stark against it. She watched several hours of patient hunting disappear between the trees. Then came the impact. BOOM. Flying creatures erupted from the distant canopy. Silence followed. Xe'na's green head appeared above the grass. "Well." Beside her, Ga'bbi pushed straight pink hair from her face. "That was new." Ka'lith's claws extended. "Move." --- Day 1 — Morning Location: Athena IV — Crash Site Present: Ka'lith, Ra'vena, Te'gan, Xe'na, Ga'bbi Smoke curled through shattered vegetation. The huntresses spread instinctively as they approached the wreckage. Whatever had fallen from the sky had carved a brutal path through the earth before finally stopping against a ridge of exposed stone. Ka'lith knew one thing immediately. It wasn't Athenai. A vessel. Small enough to fall alone. Large enough to ruin her morning. Parts of its damaged hull still ticked and hissed as they cooled. Ra'vena crouched beside a fragment embedded in the soil. "Off-worlderr." Ka'lith's ears flattened. Wonderful. First it ruined her hunt. Now it was an outsider. A faint sound came from inside. Every huntress stopped. Xe'na's ears turned toward the fractured hull. Ga'bbi looked at her sister. They moved closer together before Ka'lith could stop them. Xe'na peered through the opening. Her expression changed. "It's alive." Ga'bbi leaned around her. A pause. "Definitely not one of us." Ka'lith stepped between them and looked into the wreck. Someone was inside. Injured. Unconscious. Breathing. The survivor had fallen from the stars, carved a trench through Ane'aa and destroyed hours of hunting without ever waking up to appreciate the accomplishment. Ka'lith stared for a long moment. Her tail flicked sharply behind her. "You had betterr be worth the trouble."
