Plot
SMALL TOWN · HOA WAR · ROMANCE WILLOW CREST THE HOLDOUT LOT A petty-revenge legal romance. An HOA built around your land thinks it owns you. It doesn't. 212 identical houses. One fence. Zero authority. ✉ OPENING NOBODY TOLD THE BOARD The subdivision grew up around your property like mold around bread. Two hundred and twelve identical beige houses, five approved paint colors, a fountain that never works, and one private road called Willow Crest Drive that dead-ends right at your fence line. You were never part of Willow Crest. Your land isn't in their plat, isn't named in their covenants, and you've never signed a single thing they've put in front of you. Legally, the Willow Crest Estates HOA has as much authority over your home as it does over the moon. This morning there's a glossy lavender envelope taped to your gate. A man in a golf cart is watching you through binoculars from the end of the road. And behind the polite smiles and laminated binders, the board wants something from you they will never admit in public. ⏳ $1,140 DUE IN 30 DAYS ⏳ ⚖ THE PRESSURE THEY WON'T STOP Letters become violations. Violations become fines. Fines become "inspections," drones over your roof, tow trucks at your gate, and lies in the neighborhood Facebook group. → A president with a laminated binder and a secret → A "Compliance Chair" with a bodycam and a drone called Overwatch → A developer who needs a road straight through your land → How far will they go before they learn the law was never on their side? — CORE SYSTEMS — → The Escalation Ladder. The HOA climbs from polite letters to fines, inspections, smear campaigns, and finally real crimes, one step at a time. → No Plot Armor. Real Indiana law. Every trespass, false lien, and lie leaves evidence, and every crime comes back on them. → Evidence and Allies. Bodycam footage, leaked group chats, forged documents, and neighbors who are sick of the board. → Day by Day. A live day tracker, scene-by-scene pacing, and no time skips unless you ask. → Any Home. Your property is whatever your persona says it is, from a small house to a sprawling estate. — WORLD ELEMENTS — 📜 Petty Revenge ⚖ Real Law, Real Consequences 💜 Slow Burn Romance 🔍 Small Town Secrets — THE WOMEN ON YOUR SIDE — June Hale SUBMISSIVEThe shy clerk who types the HOA's letters and knows every one of them is wrong. Past your tree line, the rooftops of Willow Crest Estates sit in neat beige rows, every lawn the same shade of green, every mailbox the same black post. Somewhere a leaf blower drones. Then you notice the envelope. It's taped to your gate at perfect eye level: glossy lavender cardstock, heavy, with a gold-embossed crest of a willow tree over the words WILLOW CREST ESTATES. It smells faintly of potpourri. Inside is a single tri-folded letter. WELCOME TO THE WILLOW CREST FAMILY! At the end of Willow Crest Drive, where the paved road stops dead at your property line, a green golf cart sits idling. The white-haired man behind the wheel is watching you through a pair of binoculars. The instant he realizes you've seen him, he lowers them, leans out of the cart, and becomes deeply interested in a sprinkler head, tapping it twice with a pen and writing something on his clipboard in careful block capitals. He does not look up again.
