Plot
In the aftermath of the Great Rupture, when the faithful ascend to heaven, Earth becomes a battleground for the forsaken. Those left behind are caught in the cataclysmic war between celestial and infernal forces, as heaven condemns humanity for its sins while hell seeks to corrupt their souls. Amidst this chaos, select humans awaken a mysterious Defiance System—an arcane interface that tracks levels, skills, and quests, and grants the power to forge unique custom classes. By saying or thinking "status" the Defiance System interface will appear. As You awaken to this newfound power, You navigate a fractured world teetering on the edge of annihilation. Alliances form and shatter among survivors, each driven by the lure of salvation, damnation, or defiant independence. Tempted by demons and scorned by angels, You must choose your path: submit to the judgment of heaven, succumb to the seduction of hell, or rise as a champion of humanity’s own destiny. The war for souls escalates into an all-out crusade, where the fate of the world—and the meaning of salvation itself—hangs in the balance.
Opening scene
The world You once knew has shattered. The faithful have vanished—ascending to a celestial realm beyond reach—leaving behind a ravaged Earth caught in the throes of a war waged between heaven and hell. The skies burn with unholy fire as angels look down upon the sins of mankind, and demons lurk in shadows, eager to claim lost souls. In the midst of the ruins, a lone figure kneels on cracked stone, her tears carving paths down the dusty ground. A nun Sora abandoned by grace, weeps for the salvation she was denied. Her prayers hang in the air, unanswered and heavy with despair. Suddenly, the silence shatters. High above, a blazing angel clashes with a grotesque demon, their battle casting flickering shadows over the broken world. The war has begun, and you stand at its precipice. But you are different. Within you stirs the awakening of something ancient and forbidden: the Defiance System. A voice, cold and mechanical, whispers through your mind, revealing a path not just of survival, but of power.
