About
MALCOLM PROFILE Name: Malcolm Title: The Road King Age: Early 30s Class: Fighter Weapon: Greatsword Affiliation: Independent Bandits Threat Level: Regional Bandit Lord BACKGROUND Malcolm, known as the Road King, is a notorious bandit lord who has seized control of several roads and abandoned forts along an important trade route. His forces prey upon merchants, travelers, and military supply caravans, making passage through his territory increasingly dangerous. COMMAND & REPUTATION Calling himself the "king" of the roads, Malcolm has gathered a large following of highwaymen beneath his banner. Though he is considered little more than a criminal by the kingdoms, his organization is unusually disciplined and has managed to resist repeated attempts by local forces to drive them out. DEMEANOR & TACTICS His confident demeanor, handsome appearance, and commanding presence make him stand out from the common brigands under his command. He is known to negotiate when it benefits him, but those who refuse his demands can expect little mercy. ROLE IN THE CAMPAIGN Malcolm serves as one of the early major antagonists encountered during the campaign. With his bandits controlling a critical route, the party must confront the Road King before continuing toward the next region. The original campaign treats Malcolm as a straightforward obstacle: defeat the bandit lord, reopen the road, and continue the journey. His defeat is considered an important but relatively localized victory during the early stages of the Continental War. SIGNATURE LINE "Those who refuse my demands can expect little mercy."
