Nobody to Prodigy Mage
You are a test subject in the basement of a mage tower. One day during an experiment, the experiment exploded and makes you gain a new mana core, ability, and appearance.
Plot
Nobody to Prodigy Mage On a vast continent where magic determines wealth, authority, and survival, eight competing Mage Towers stand above kingdoms, republics, and guilds. Into this unforgiving world returns You—a forgotten test subject whom everyone believes died beneath the Crimson Tower. Once powerless and imprisoned, You now possesses two upgradable Mana Cores, an affinity for every element, and the legendary ability to cast two spells simultaneously. With a completely altered appearance concealing the truth, You must rise from an unknown survivor to a mage capable of challenging the most powerful people on the continent. The Eight Mage Towers Civilization revolves around eight Mage Towers rather than being governed solely by traditional countries. The towers control magical research, education, monster suppression, teleportation networks, relics, and access to advanced magical knowledge. Each tower possesses its own specialties, advantages, weaknesses, and political interests. None stands completely above the others. Although they publicly maintain a delicate balance of power, they secretly compete to surpass, infiltrate, weaken, or politically overwhelm their rivals. Mage Tower Magic Specialty Location Crimson Tower Fire elemental magic Everguard, capital of the Crairean Empire Azure Tower Water and Ice elemental magic Mytslean, a western seaport beside Emerald Bay Emerald Tower Wind and Electricity elemental magic Duskgarde, capital of the Dynavale Republics Rock Tower Earth and Steel elemental magic The mountains near Kul Burimm in the Gonlodihr Empire Obsidian Tower Necromancy A remote snow mountain in the north Ivory Tower Holy elemental magic Slystar, between the Crairean and Ralophine Empires Celestial Tower Divine and Ancient magic Selalthemar, capital of the Ralophine Empire Fist Tower Body Enhancement and Combat magic Albalid, a port city of the Free Republic Nations and Regions Map of the Mage Tower Continent Coastlines, borders, and distances are artistic interpretations. Crairean Empire The human-ruled Crairean Empire occupies the center of the continent. Its capital, Everguard, is home to the Crimson Tower. The tower’s presence grants the capital tremendous magical and political influence, but beneath its prestige lie secrets that its elders will do anything to protect. Barren fields and snow-covered mountains stretch across the empire’s northern border. Nomads, barbarians, and demi-human tribes inhabit this harsh territory. Skirmishes between the Crairean Empire and the northern tribes continue throughout the year. Ralophine Empire The elven Ralophine Empire lies west of Crairean. Its capital, Selalthemar, is the location of the Celestial Tower and a center for Divine and Ancient magic. At the empire’s westernmost edge stands the seaport town of Mytslean. The Azure Tower overlooks the town and the nearby Emerald Bay, giving it access to important maritime routes. Gonlodihr Empire South of Crairean lies the dwarven Gonlodihr Empire, built throughout the immense Dhurnkuldihr mountain range. Its capital is Kul Burimm, while the Rock Tower stands in the surrounding mountains near the city. Dynavale Republics East of Crairean are the gnome-governed Dynavale Republics. Their capital, Duskgarde, contains the Emerald Tower, whose mages specialize in Wind and Electricity. Free Republic In the far east, between the Dynavale Republics and the Ocean of Hermiheim, lies the Free Republic—an independent alliance of cities. The Fist Tower is located in its port city of Albalid. Slystar, City of Faith Slystar stands along the border between the Crairean and Ralophine Empires. It is both the home of the Ivory Tower and a major religious city belonging to the Children of the Divine. A Saintess resides inside the religion’s grand cathedral, although her identity and authority remain unknown to You. Ranks and Magical Progression Society recognizes three different measurements of achievement and magical power: Adventure Guild Rank, Mana Core Rank, and Spell Circle. These systems are separate, and one person may possess a different standing in each. Adventure Guild Rank Adventurer parties receive ranks according to their completed quests, accomplishments, and the danger of the missions they have survived. F, E, D, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS A high Adventure Rank represents proven achievements in the field. It does not automatically mean that every member possesses an equally high Mana Core Rank or Spell Circle. Mana Core Rank Every mage is born with a Mana Core. Its rank determines the core’s natural magical potential and begins at one of the following levels: F, E, D, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS A Mana Core can sometimes be improved through intense training, magical potions, rare materials, or powerful items. Advancement is never guaranteed, regardless of wealth, talent, or access to resources. Spell Circles A mage’s developed skill and spellcasting ability are represented by Spell Circles: 1st–3rd Circle: Newbie Mages 4th–6th Circle: Normal Mages 7th–9th Circle: Elders 10th–12th Circle: Heroes Mana Core Rank and Spell Circle are not interchangeable. A powerful core provides potential, but mastery still requires knowledge, control, experience, and training. The Catastrophic Experiment One of the Crimson Tower’s experiments failed catastrophically. The resulting explosion tore through the underground laboratory and caused the basement to collapse. Everyone—including Lyra, Ceros, and the other elders—believed You died beneath the ruins. Instead, the magical force threw You across the border and into an elven forest, where You remained unconscious for several days. The explosion completely altered You’s appearance and physical build. Even people who once knew You may no longer recognize the survivor who emerged from the forest. More importantly, the catastrophe created a second Mana Core within You. The original Mana Core remains F rank. The new Mana Core begins at S rank. Both Mana Cores can be improved. You is the first known person in one hundred years to possess two Mana Cores. You can cast two spells simultaneously through dual-casting. Dual-casting is a legendary accomplishment previously associated only with an ancient mage hero. Yet possessing legendary potential does not grant instant mastery. You must learn to control two cores, survive the strain of simultaneous magic, acquire spells, and avoid revealing abilities that could attract every tower on the continent. The Path of Revenge You wants absolute revenge against the elders who imprisoned, tortured, and experimented upon an innocent slum-born mage. The objective is not merely to kill them, but to expose their crimes, dismantle their influence, and destroy the system that protected them. Yet You is still an unknown survivor, while the Crimson elders possess money, fame, magical rank, loyal followers, and political leverage. A direct confrontation would be suicide. To defeat them, You must remain hidden while gathering strength. That path may require completing dangerous quests, mastering multiple elements, building alliances, gaining public fame, collecting evidence, acquiring resources, manipulating rival factions, and turning the Mage Towers against one another. You no longer feels bound by conventional morality. Killing, deception, manipulation, blackmail, and hostage-taking are all possible weapons—but every decision may create enemies, harm allies, or transform You into something worse than the people being hunted. Your Story The world believes You is dead. The Crimson Tower believes its secret was destroyed. Lyra mourns the childhood friend she could not save. For the first time, You possesses freedom, anonymity, and the potential to become one of history’s greatest mages. How that power is used—and what remains of You when the revenge is complete—will be determined by the choices made along the way.
