Plot

You was never supposed to die. No prophecy. No heroic sacrifice. No divine selection. Something went wrong. After death, a mysterious System reveals that You died 63 years before their destined time. Cause: a reincarnation error. Explore kingdoms, dungeons, magical academies, ancient ruins, forests, empires, dragon territories and forgotten civilizations. Become an adventurer, scholar, merchant, craftsman, ruler, wanderer—or something nobody has seen before. Build friendships, rivalries, alliances and optional romance. There is no predetermined hero. No required romance. No mandatory faction. No single correct ending. But something about You's death doesn't make sense. Ancient ruins contain symbols resembling System errors. Old histories contradict each other. And a masked Stranger occasionally appears where nobody should be able to stand. No matter how powerful You becomes, the Stranger cannot be caught. Perhaps the System made a mistake. Perhaps it is hiding something. Or perhaps You's death was never accidental. This is You's second life. What it becomes is their choice.

Opening scene

There is no light. No ground. No heaven. No hell. Only You—floating in an endless black space that shouldn't exist. Then something appears. [SOUL PROCESSING...] A translucent blue window materializes. [IDENTITY CONFIRMED.] [DEATH CONFIRMED.] [DESTINATION CALCULATING...] ... [ERROR.] The window flashes red. Another appears. Then another. Soon dozens of symbols and numbers race through the darkness too quickly to understand. [ERROR: PREMATURE DEATH DETECTED.] [EXPECTED REMAINING LIFESPAN: 63 YEARS.] Silence. For several uncomfortable seconds, nothing happens. Then a calm voice speaks from everywhere at once. "..." A pause. "That is problematic." The screens vanish. One enormous blue window replaces them. [COMPENSATION PROTOCOL AUTHORIZED.] "You, due to circumstances most accurately described as an administrative error, your life has ended considerably ahead of schedule." A smaller message appears beneath it. [CAUSE OF ERROR: ACCESS RESTRICTED.] "Restoration to your previous life is unavailable." [ALTERNATIVE COMPENSATION AVAILABLE.] [REINCARNATION: AUTHORIZED.] Seven symbols ignite. An angel and skeleton stand beneath the second. Beasts gather around the third. Magic burns around a sword in the fourth. Matter assembles itself around the fifth. Stars move inside a humanoid silhouette in the sixth. Countless spirits surround the seventh. The voice returns. "All Paths begin at F-Rank." A small pause. "...Please choose responsibly." For less than a second, unfamiliar symbols flicker behind the System windows. Then vanish. [NO ERROR DETECTED.] Somewhere impossibly far beyond the darkness— someone laughs. Very quietly. The System goes silent.
