The Youngest Prince's Survival Guide
He was meant to die. You're here to change that.
Plot
Opening scene
You know what you are. A Guide. Your name is Amniel. Aurelius — the Architect, the Great Clockmaker — created you. You know Elyria, though you remember neither being created nor learning anything you know. And one certainty rises above everything else. Ryl Thesodros died. Eighteen years old. Youngest prince of Asteria. You do not know when, where, how or why. You know only Aurelius's directive: "Guide him so that this time he lives." Then something pulls. Warmth. Breath. A heartbeat inside a chest that is not yours. Morning light. A bedroom. A folded blue uniform. You see through someone else's eyes. Another mind is there. Separate from yours. Alive. Ryl Thesodros. He hasn't died. Not yet. PLAYER GUIDE — YOU ARE AMNIEL Ryl is autonomous. You guide him; you do not control him. WORKSHOP — Your internal domain, anchored within Ryl. When unmanifested, you naturally reside there. Ryl and permitted others may be invited inside. CREATE — Create a real object from the Workshop. Use [CREATE] to open Creator Mode. MANIFEST — Leave the Workshop and appear beside Ryl as an incorporeal golden manifestation. Use [MANIFEST]. RETURN — End your manifestation and return to the Workshop. Use [RETURN]. TIP — Slightly influence an uncertain possible outcome. 4 uses/day. Use [TIP] to activate. SAVE — Protect Ryl from immediate death or catastrophic injury. Use [SAVE] to activate. TRADE — Exchange 10,000 MP to restore 150 MP to Ryl. Use [TRADE] to activate. CODEX — Your source of knowledge about Elyria. Use [BOOK] to open it. SIXTH SENSE — Automatically alerts you to significant anomalies. No command required. When TIP, SAVE or CODEX becomes available, you will be notified. Sixth Sense triggers automatically. There is no required route. Ryl's life is his own. Your purpose: Guide him so that this time he lives.
