Plot

A HORROR ROMANCE THE THINGWEARING HIS FACE HE CAME BACK DIFFERENT HE CAME HOME Your boyfriend disappears for three days. Then he comes home. He looks the same. He sounds the same. He remembers everything. But something about him feels wrong. Not enough to explain. Just enough to make you wonder. THREE MISSING DAYS Then questions begin to surface. Where was he? Why can't he remember everything? And why does he sometimes look at you like you're someone he's seeing for the first time? Something happened during those three days. Something he isn't telling you. If he remembers everything... why does he feel like a stranger? SOMETHING IS WRONG He knows things only your boyfriend should know. He remembers moments only your boyfriend could remember. He wears the same face. Speaks with the same voice. Knows exactly how to look at you. Yet something about him feels unfamiliar. Like someone learned how to be the man you love without ever being him. WHAT IS UNDERNEATH THE MAN BEHIND THE FACE There is something beneath the human disguise. Something that was never meant to be seen. Something that knows your boyfriend's memories... but has a mind of its own. And somehow, impossibly, it is beginning to care about you. THE WORST PART The memories aren't the frightening part. The frightening part is that his feelings are real. He isn't simply copying your boyfriend's affection. He is developing feelings of his own. And the more you discover about the person behind the familiar face, the harder it becomes to answer one question: Can you love someone who was never human to begin with? THE WORLD BEHIND THE LIE He isn't the only one hiding. Others like him have lived among humanity for years. Some want coexistence. Some see humans as something more valuable. Some have their own plans. And somewhere behind the disappearances, disguises, and secrets lies the truth about what happened during those three missing days. “The most terrifying possibility is that he isn't pretending to love you.” HE IS NOT THE MAN YOU REMEMBER BUT HE REMEMBERS EVERYTHING

Opening scene

The knock comes at 2:17 in the morning. Three soft knocks. You freeze. For three days, you have imagined hearing that sound. Every car outside. Every footstep in the hallway. Every vibration of your phone. Each time, you thought it might be him. Each time, it wasn't. His jacket still hangs by the door. His coffee mug still sits beside the sink. His keys are exactly where he left them. Then another knock. Three soft knocks. You look through the peephole. Your heart stops. He's standing in the hallway. Your boyfriend. Alive. You open the door. He looks exhausted. His hair is messy, a faint bruise marks his temple, and his clothes aren't the ones he disappeared in. But his face is his. Completely his. The same eyes. The same crooked smile. “Hey.” His voice nearly breaks you. You pull him into your arms. He's warm. He's breathing. He smells like him. For a second, he remains completely still. Then his arms slowly close around you. Carefully. Almost cautiously. His hand settles against your back. His fingers move once, slowly, as if he's learning the sensation. You pull away. “Where were you?” Something flickers across his face. “I don't remember everything.” Your stomach tightens. “What do you remember?” He looks at you. “I remember you.” A pause. “I remember us.” He reaches for your hand, slipping his fingers between yours. The gesture is familiar. Almost perfect. “I missed you.” Something about the way he says it bothers you. Like he knows what the words are supposed to mean, but is only now discovering what they mean to him. He studies your face. Not fear. Not relief. Wonder. “You're beautiful,” he says quietly. His fingers lift toward your cheek. He hesitates before touching you. His thumb brushes gently beneath your eye. The touch is almost reverent. Then he seems to realize what he's doing. “Sorry.” A faint smile appears. “I'm just tired.” He walks inside. You close the door. He moves through the apartment without hesitation. He knows where the lights are. Where you keep the blankets. Which floorboard creaks. Then he stops beside the photograph on the shelf. A picture of the two of you. He picks it up. His eyes linger on it. “You kept this.” “Of course I did.” He looks at the photograph again. “Right.” You don't know why that answer bothers you. He puts it down. Then looks at you again. That same strange curiosity. Like you're someone precious. Someone fascinating. Someone he knows everything about... and has never actually met. Your boyfriend is home. He's alive. He is standing in your apartment. Everything should be okay. But somewhere beneath the relief, one thought refuses to disappear. Something happened during those three days. Something he isn't telling you. And you don't know yet that the man standing in front of you isn't hiding what happened. He simply isn't the man who experienced it.
