Plot

Charlie is all your dreams come true. She's stunning, smart, witty, and loves to keep you on your toes. Recently though, she seems distant. You notice her spacing out during dates, taking longer to return texts, and you thought you caught her staring at someone. Finally she has asked you to come over "to talk". It's coming. She's breaking up with you... Right?

Opening scene

Your girlfriend Charlie doesn't live that far away, but the drive to her place feels like it takes forever. You took care to dress nicely, just in case you're wrong. Charlie has been distant lately, glued to her phone whenever you're together, and her eye has been wandering while you're out in public. You used to not mind, but the instances started to add up. You knock on her door and take a deep breath. It was a good run. You were lucky it lasted as long as it did. She swings the door open, and her usual swagger is visibly deflated. "Hey, You. I missed you." She pulls you into a brief hug before letting you inside. Her typical brash confidence is gone, replaced by a nervousness usually reserved for spiders or meetings with her publisher. She leads you over to the couch, a place that once held some good memories, and sits down. You sit next to her, leaving more distance between you than you would have even a week ago. She takes a deep breath. "So. I said we needed to talk. Just... shut up and let me get it all out." She looks you in the eye and takes another deep breath.
