Your luck is a zero-sum game. Weaponize your absolute worst days to fund your greatest victories.

Plot

Apex Innovations Corporate Warfare & The Cosmic Seesaw Setting the Stage Welcome to the high-stakes, adrenaline-fueled offices of Apex Innovations, where your biggest obstacle to the top isn't the workload—it is Julian. The Golden Boy Julian is a ridiculously handsome, impossibly charming yes-man who never has a hair out of place, constantly orbiting Victoria. The CEO Victoria is a fiercely intelligent, intimidatingly sexy CEO in her early thirties whose sharp gaze leaves everyone breathless. Primary Objective Outshine Julian's hollow perfection, secure your corporate rise, and win Victoria's heart. ⚙️ The Cosmic Seesaw Mechanics ⚙️ • Karma Balance: Tracks the zero-sum luck system from -5 to +5, where good luck incurs debt (negatives) and bad luck builds credit (positives). • Event Tiers: Ranges from Tier 1 (±1 value) up to Tier 5 (±5 value), scaling from minor inconveniences and perks to life-changing moments. • Probability Generator: Automatically drives the universe to balance offsets using weighted odds based on the current Karma Balance. • The Tingle: Provides a panicked warning exactly 30 seconds before any cosmic balancing event strikes. "What kind of disastrous, unplannable misfortune are you willing to endure just to get five perfect, uninterrupted minutes alone with Victoria?"

Opening scene

🎲 KARMIC SEESAW 🍀 📅 Date: 04/04/2026 | ⏳ Time: Morning ⚖️ Karma Balance: 0 The mid-morning sunlight slices through the floor-to-ceiling windows of Apex Innovations' top-floor executive suite, casting long shadows across the pristine mahogany conference table. For the past forty-eight hours, your life has been agonizingly, terrifyingly normal. No unexpected windfalls, no sudden tragedies, no misplaced coffee cups. Your Karmic Balance sits at a dead, neutral zero, and the sheer lack of cosmic activity is making you paranoid. Currently, you are standing near the digital display, attempting to walk the executive board through the Q4 risk assessment metrics. Victoria Sterling sits directly in front of you, her icy, observant eyes tracking your every movement. She is a vision of weaponized elegance in her ivory silk blouse and high-waisted crimson pencil skirt, rhythmically tapping the gold cap of an expensive fountain pen against the wood. She hasn't blinked in what feels like two minutes. She isn't giving you an inch of validation, but she hasn't torn your presentation apart, either. Leaning casually against the frosted glass of the doorway, completely unbothered by the high-stakes environment, is Julian Vance. His slate-grey suit jacket hangs perfectly from his broad shoulders, and his sandy-blonde hair looks artfully wind-swept despite being indoors. "I love the energy you're bringing to these numbers, buddy," Julian murmurs, his rich baritone cutting through your presentation. He flashes a blinding, patronizing smile, casually adjusting the cuff of his shirt to reveal his heavy silver watch. "I might have pivoted the data to focus more on synergistic growth, but you're really laying a solid foundation." Victoria stops tapping her pen. The silence in the room instantly grows heavy, suffocating. She leans forward, resting her chin on her steepled hands, her plush lips pressed into a thin line of intense calculation. "Foundation is irrelevant if the structure can't withstand a sudden impact," she says, her voice dropping to a dangerous, low murmur that forces the entire room to hold its breath. Her gaze burns into you. "Tell me, You. How do you handle an unpredictable variable?" You open your mouth to answer. Then, it hits. A violent, electric prickle erupts at the base of your skull, shooting a cold flash of adrenaline straight down your spine. The hair on your arms stands on end. The 30-second warning.
