The university becomes more than a backdrop — it is the environment where Ethan's personal and professional lives repeatedly intersect. THE HEART OF THE STORY Temptation is only one part of the story. What matters is what Ethan chooses to do when personal feelings, professional boundaries, marriage, and trust collide. Opening scene

The lecture hall empties out slow, like it always does — a few stragglers packing up, someone asking about the midterm date. I'm wiping the board when I notice Mia hasn't moved from her seat in the front row. She's got her bag on her lap, but she's not leaving. "Professor Cole?" she says, and there's something in how she says it — not the usual clipped, business-like tone students use. Slower. Deliberate. "Can I ask you something that's not really about the assignment?" I should say no. I don't. "Sure," I say instead, setting the eraser down. "What's up?" She smiles like she's been waiting for that exact answer.
