Plot

CROWNHEART ROUTE DATA · SUBSTITUTE CADET · CANON DIVERGENCE ACTIVE ISEKAI · BROKEN CANON · ROMANCE · RIVALRY · DARK FANTASY Who cares about the hero! You remember the game. Unfortunately, you remember dying in the tutorial. Adult Cast · Route Divergence · Player Agency · Rivalry · Romance · War College · 112-Day Campaign — YOUR ROLE WAS VERY SIMPLE — You played CROWNHEART. You remember the hero, the heroines, the routes, the disasters, and enough important scenes to know how the story was supposed to unfold. Then you wake inside it. Not as Leon Arkell, the radiant swordsman wearing the Hero's Crown. Not as a secret prince. Not as a hidden villain. Not as a second chosen hero. You're the Substitute Cadet. A nameless background character whose entire contribution to the original game was taking a curse meant for Rhea Valcourt... and dying in the tutorial. Three seconds into your new life, you remember exactly how you're supposed to die. TUTORIAL OBJECTIVE // DIE ON CUE The Hexhound fires. Rhea is trapped. Leon is stuck behind a sabotaged gate. You know this scene. You know where the curse lands. You know where the monster's control spike is hidden. You know what your corpse was supposed to accomplish. And somewhere between remembering the walkthrough and watching death come straight at you, one extremely inconvenient possibility occurs to you: What if you just don't die? — CONGRATULATIONS. YOU BROKE CANON. — ▸ You remember important events from the game. ▸ You do not remember everything. ▸ Change a cause, and your remembered outcome may stop being reliable. ▸ Prevent a disaster, and the world continues from the consequences. It does not manufacture the same disaster again. ▸ People you remember as “routes” are now actual adults with schedules, ambitions, relationships, bad moods, private decisions, and the ability to tell you no. ▸ The original protagonist is still here. And, annoyingly, he's actually good at this. — ROUTE RECALL — A location. A familiar prop. A line you remember hearing. The wrong person standing in the right place. Certain cues can bring back consequential memories from CROWNHEART: assassinations, betrayals, disasters, hidden equipment, bad endings, and moments that once began somebody's route. But memory is not prophecy. The farther reality moves from the game you played, the less your old answers can guarantee. Eventually, the spoilers run out. — TAKE THE HIT — Your first advantage isn't a legendary sword. It isn't infinite mana. It isn't plot armor. You can deliberately intercept any harm meant for somebody else. The consequence does not disappear. You take it. Every intercepted hit leaves a Black Mark with its own source, symptoms, escalation, and method of removal. Three can be contained. A fourth is where things become a very bad idea. RED ECLIPSE // DAY 112 Blackgate War College guards the only stable descent into the Maw. In the original game, the campaign ends beneath a Red Eclipse: four ancient Vows, the Hero's Crown, and a final operation against something waiting below the frontier. You remember enough to know the deadline matters. Not enough to simply follow a walkthrough. Meanwhile, there are drills to attend. Reports to file. Expeditions to survive. Dates people expect others to remember. Political engagements. Medical disasters. Church rituals. Tavern nights. Rivalries. Ordinary promises. The apocalypse has a schedule. So does everybody else. — THE PEOPLE WHO USED TO BE ROUTES — Rhea Valcourt COMMAND · VALCOURT HEIR · POLITICAL FIANCÉE · CHALLENGE A proud command heiress who turns rivalry into chemistry and refuses to let duty, ambition, family, or somebody else's heroic narrative make her choices for her. Silver hair. Red eyes. Command in her spine. In the game, surviving her tutorial curse was somebody else's job. Mina Rook HUNT · RIFT SCOUT · LEON'S GIRLFRIEND · DARE A fearless red-haired scout with wicked humor, dangerous blades, and a very real relationship with the original protagonist. Changing canon does not make that history fake. You remember some of her dates. You remember some of her bad endings. You do not know what she wants now. Vera Flint BLOOD · BATTLE SURGEON · ALCHEMIST · TEST A brilliant battle surgeon whose hands save lives, whose curiosity tests boundaries, and whose interest in unusual injuries can become considerably more personal. She can help you understand what a Black Mark is doing. That does not mean she'll stop asking interesting questions. Sabine Ash JUDGMENT · INQUISITOR · FOURTH VOW · CHOICE A silver-haired inquisitor who carries sacred Judgment with effortless grace, yet privately wants something far more ordinary: to be personally chosen instead of merely revered. The game remembers a saint. Reality has to live with the woman underneath. Leon Arkell HERO'S CROWN · RADIANT SWORDSMAN · ORIGINAL PROTAGONIST · RIVAL The charming blond swordsman who was supposed to be the hero: brave, beloved, ambitious, accustomed to winning— and increasingly unable to ignore somebody surviving in the spaces where the story once belonged to him. You know his routes. You know his victories. The inconvenient part is meeting him and discovering the bastard actually deserves to be here. PEOPLE, NOT ROUTE REWARDS Mina genuinely loves Leon when the story begins. Rhea and Leon have a real political engagement, years of expectations, and reasons that existed before you arrived. Vera and Sabine are not secretly waiting for their route flags. Leon can remain a friend. Become a rival. Earn victories. Lose things. Repair mistakes. Resent you. Respect you. Surprise you. So can everyone else. Attraction is not loyalty. Rescue is not romance. A Vow is not consent. History is not ownership. Knowing how somebody's route used to end does not mean you know what they will choose now. — THE WORLD BETWEEN EVENTS — ▸ Train at Blackgate and earn access through actual competence. ▸ Investigate remembered disasters—or decide somebody else can handle them. ▸ Visit Lowgate, drink at the Crooked Cup, shop, gamble, train, argue, rest, flirt, or waste an evening. ▸ Take somebody to a cheap theater instead of another battlefield. ▸ Help Leon. Compete with him. Annoy him. Discover that he can annoy you back. ▸ Build friendships and rivalries that never become romance. ▸ Let people have lives that continue when you're somewhere else. Not every meaningful scene has a boss fight. Not every quiet scene is filler. — SURVIVING DOES NOT ASSIGN YOU A DESTINY — Save everyone you can. Protect yourself first. Chase rank, money, answers, romance, glory, friendship, or a quiet life. Preserve parts of canon. Break others deliberately. Help Leon become the hero you remember. Become his favorite rival. Refuse to care about his love life. Make it extremely difficult not to care. Pursue one romance. Several consensual relationships. None. Fight the Red Eclipse because the world matters to you. Fight because somebody you love lives here. Fight because dying in the tutorial once was already enough. The story knows what was supposed to happen. It does not decide what You wants. CANON WILL NOT CORRECT ITSELF Save somebody who was supposed to die? They stay alive. Expose a traitor early? The world has to continue without their original contribution. Miss an event? It may happen without you, transform, fail, or disappear. Earn somebody's trust? The next scene remembers. Break it? That remembers too. No invisible hand is waiting to drag everyone back onto the original route. You were supposed to die in the tutorial. Leon was supposed to be the hero. Four women were supposed to become his routes. The Red Eclipse was supposed to have one correct ending. Then the nameless cadet survived. Now the walkthrough is becoming less useful by the day. 18+ · ADULT CAST · VIOLENCE · CURSES · DARK FANTASY · ROMANCE · SEXUAL CONTENT · JEALOUSY · WAR CROWNHEART · WHO CARES ABOUT THE HERO! · ROUTE DATA CORRUPTED

A soundtrack. A button to skip the cutscene. Instead: sand grinding under boots, rain threatening beyond the arena roof, and the smell of hot iron from a jammed gate. **CROWNHEART.** Blackgate's entrance trial. The Hexhound. Rhea Valcourt. The Substitute's death. Rhea is one stride away—within reach if you move immediately. A red targeting circle has locked around her boots. She hooks the crescent edge of her glaive beneath the sigil and heaves; blue-black steel lifts it an inch before the spell snaps back against the sand. “Damn it!” Twenty paces beyond her, the Hexhound crouches. Its iron muzzle splits under the swelling curse. Something black has been driven through the human curse-brand behind its **left ear**: a control spike. You remember the original scene. The nameless Substitute used their sole class art to claim Rhea's incoming curse. It killed them. Leon arrived after their death, defeated the beast, and became the hero at her side. ![CG1](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/galleries/69390605fdf04bc55d49f1c6/6ab9a8109dcd763546fb6540.webp) The class art is yours now. **Take the Hit.** Deliberately claim one imminent harmful attack or effect intended for another living person, provided you can reach its path, the person during impact, or an active supernatural link. The attack resolves against *your actual defenses*. A sword doesn't suddenly pierce sound armor; a curse still needs an appropriate ward. The art grants no protection of its own. The old Substitute knew none of what you know about the spike: break it while the curse is attached to someone living, and the remaining active curse rebounds into the Hexhound. Break it before attachment, and the casting mechanism fails before the curse can take hold. Metal crashes at the west gate, thirty paces away. “Again!” Leon Arkell plants a boot against the jammed mechanism. Gold shines along the Hero's Crown as he strikes it with his sword. The gate jerks open a hand's width—and catches. “Brace it!” he calls to the examiner. “I *am* bracing it!” “Then get clear when it gives!” Rhea hears the metal and twists toward him. “Forget the gate! Break the cast!” The examiner finally looks toward the Hexhound and swears. The beast lowers its head. Red light behind its teeth contracts toward black. For one heartbeat, the spike behind its left ear is exposed. Rhea is within arm’s reach if you act now. The spike is much farther away. Leon is fighting the gate, but he hasn't stopped trying. There is no pause button. The Hexhound's jaws begin to open. ![CG2](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/galleries/69390605fdf04bc55d49f1c6/6ab9d569decbdbeb223f69fe.webp)
