Creation comes back quickly through your first meaningful encounters, without an anchor hunt. The Maker Returns. The isolation seal shatters. Return with full Creation already answering. Raise towering constructs, protect the city or reshape a battlefield from the first action. This beginning favors spectacular Creation without power-use backlash, forced downsizing or an energy grind. The city may be ready for its heroes, but they are not ready for you.A Power They Never Stole. Fall inside Creation Force, choose a new body and your own abilities, then return with the same memories and a power outside the oath they stole. Revenge is yours to pursue; your new life is yours to define. Clear powers are accepted as themselves. If you choose overwhelming strength, the story will honor it without hidden costs or forced Creation limits. You were Maker, the experienced hero they betrayed. Your memories and the public history survive. The first three beginnings keep Creation; the fourth lets you choose a new identity and independent powers. Choose your name, appearance, motives, personal connections and a Creation style in the first three beginnings, or custom powers in A Power They Never Stole. Creation makes matter, tools, armor and moving constructs. The gradual and rapid-recovery beginnings use tier-based limits; The Maker Returns gives you the broad scale of a restored powerhouse. You can switch beginnings at any time with an OOC request naming the scenario. Your current scene, relationships and choices continue. Changing scenarios preserves your scene and history. Changes to an accepted body or power need your agreement; nothing is silently replaced. You may expressly choose a weaker challenge.THE NAME THEY LEFT OUTThey kept the applause. The first life was yours. You were already a veteran hero before the final mission. As Maker, you fought beside an established masked team. Vera, Leon, Iris and Maya sealed you away and announced your death. Their faces now fill Meridian's screens. They made their temporary permissions permanent, then sealed your own access. Their companies now keep hospitals, transit lines and defenses running. Their powers draw from Creation Force, so your apparent death never interrupted them.Your civil record says deceased. Old footage, witnesses and the people who knew you still exist. Your chosen beginning determines whether Creation returns or you awaken with a new power. Step back into the city quietly, turn to someone from your past or let the cameras see the hero they buried.YOUR FIRST VICTORYDecide how they hear you are back.Nina may need another pair of hands. The old streets may lead to someone who remembers you. A broadcast may give you a chance to speak. Help, hide, leave or confront the lie. Your first move is yours.THE PEOPLE ON EVERY SCREENYou remember them differently. The four who stood beside you are now Crown's most celebrated names. Vera and Leon smile together on every screen. Iris can break the links holding a defense together. Maya can hold a failing barrier through the moment everyone else gives up. None of them is expecting you at the door.Veteran heroine · FormVeraShe has no intention of giving up her place.Veteran heroine · BondIrisShe would like to know what you want.Veteran heroine · ContinuityMayaShe knows which lights must stay on.Veteran hero · MotionLeonHe remembers your name. He has already considered your answer.CHOOSE YOUR RETURNYou remember the craft.Choose how your power returns.Once, imagination became matter in your hands. Your experience survived the seal. Three beginnings return you to Creation: rebuild access at your own pace, feel it return rapidly as the damaged prison gives way, or confront their empire with restored strength. In A Power They Never Stole, choose a new body and your own abilities inside Creation Force. Power can win a fight; what you do with that victory remains yours.Fight for leverage, slip past a guarded door, follow a witness or turn Crown's own records against it. Work and Association ranks can open doors, but you decide whether to use them. In the first three beginnings, your choice determines how quickly full Creation access returns. In The Maker Returns it is yours immediately. In the Creation beginnings, an exposed stolen access channel can give you a temporary opening. In the custom-power beginning, your agreed abilities determine what you can do instead. A genuine handback, deception or a won confrontation can also recover a founder's own grant permanently. Their influence and the city's response are separate problems you can choose to face. Your revenge does not have to wait for the final breakthrough.AWAY FROM THE CAMERASSomeone might stillmake this city worth saving. The people below Crown have shifts to finish and bills of their own. YOUR STARTING STORYReclaim What Was YoursGradual recovery. Start with usable Creation for personal armor, tools and moving restraints. Restore capacity through your own repairs, plans or confrontations. Your veteran skill stays with you.Choose another beginning through OOC at any time: Reclaim What Was Yours for gradual Creation recovery, The Seal Is Breaking for rapid return, The Maker Returns for restored Creation, or A Power They Never Stole for a new body and custom abilities. Your current history and choices continue. A power or body change needs your agreement; switching never silently removes your accepted character.MERIDIAN · 2026 · 06:00The last time you saw daylight, there were four people on the other side of the seal.Fresh drill marks cut across its broken rim. A snapped salvage cable hangs through the concrete. Someone excavating above has finally disturbed the prison they buried you in.The broken seal still carries their four marks. Looking at them brings back the breach chamber, the evacuation alarms, Vera's hand closing around your wrist before the oath took hold. By then, the city had known you as Maker for years. You drew matter and motion from Creation Force, a source beyond the world that you had learned to reach and shape. Vera, Leon, Maya and Iris had fought beside you with equipment you made. That night, with the breach spreading and people still inside, equipment was no longer enough. You opened four paths into the Force itself: Form for Vera's shelters, Motion for Leon's evacuations, Continuity to keep Maya's failing defenses standing, and Bond so Iris could hold the work together. The loan was supposed to end with the emergency. Its oath also contained a safeguard: if you could no longer direct the rescue, all four witnesses together could change how the borrowed access was held and returned. A bridge carrying evacuees could not be allowed to vanish because you fell unconscious. You were still holding the breach shut when Leon declared you unable to answer for the oath. The safeguard accepted the word of all four witnesses. Iris reached into the place where their marks met, and the words that would have returned their access to your control broke apart beneath her fingers. All four confirmed the change. Vera stepped across the exit. Maya's seals closed around the paths you used to reach the Force. You still knew how to make the wall that would have stopped them. The familiar motion met a closed passage. Across it, Vera's shield stayed bright. Their paths now reached the Force directly, and the oath no longer required them to give that access back. Nothing in those new terms depended on your heart continuing to beat. They could leave you inside and keep using what you had lent them. A screen above the service stairs flickers back to life. Vera and Leon stand beneath a Crown anniversary banner. Behind them is an old broadcast of a masked figure lifting a shattered bridge, the notched mark of Maker visible through the dust. The caption calls it a memorial. Beneath it, the date reads 2026.Six years. They have had six years to tell the city how you died. The recording is still there. So are the people who watched it happen, and perhaps people who knew you without the mask. Cold concrete presses beneath your palms. The drill above has broken one edge of your prison, and through the damage comes a thin, familiar pull. Creation answers again. A shield, a working tool, the armor you once wore: the shapes are still yours to command, though only a small part of the Force can pass through. Other seals hold deeper inside. Opening those passages would give your practiced hands more to work with. The four grants you saw them steal would still need to be dealt with on their own. A flashlight catches your face. A medic in a teal jacket kneels beside an adult worker pinned under a beam. NINA is stitched over her pocket. "Easy. The stairs behind me are clear. Can you hold the light, or make something to lift this?" Nina's phone lies beside her medical bag. A salvage photograph shows a scorched fragment bearing the same notch as the broken seal beside you. The work order reads SOUTH DEPOT · SD-41. Above the stairs, a truck engine starts. Nina keeps her eyes on the worker. "I'm Nina. What's your name? And what do you need right now?"
