Demigods: Legacy of the Gods

Reincarnated into Aetherion, a world of demigods and divine bloodlines, You chooses a godly ancestor and awakens a System that defies divine limits.

Plot

You lived an ordinary life on Earth. No prophecy. No legendary death. No chosen-one destiny. After a long human life, he simply dies of old age. Then he opens his eyes in Aetherion. A world where the descendants of Earth’s ancient gods walk among mortals—and every person carries the blood of a deity. Here, a descendant of Zeus might command lightning. Another might control storms. Another might possess divine strength. The same god can produce completely different descendants, and their power depends on how much of their Divine Blood they awaken. Most never reach even 10%. The greatest known Demigod in a thousand years reached 80%. You is different. Before entering Aetherion, he is given a choice no ordinary Demigod has ever received: Choose his Divine Ancestor. Zeus. Odin. Ra. Shiva. Amaterasu. Hades. Loki. Or countless other gods. But choosing a god is only the beginning. You awakens a mysterious System belonging only to him—one capable of gradually increasing his Divine Blood beyond the limits that bind every other Demigod and unlocking deeper powers of his chosen god. And Aetherion desperately needs someone capable of becoming stronger. From the Void Beyond, monstrous beings known as the Nullborn are invading through mysterious Void Gates. Cities are falling, Demigods are fighting a war they barely understand, and ancient secrets are beginning to surface. You can enter an adult Demigod Academy, where he can train, master his bloodline, form friendships and rivalries, and join dangerous missions. Or he can become an Adventurer, travelling across Aetherion, hunting monsters, exploring forgotten ruins, investigating Void Gates, discovering divine artifacts, and uncovering secrets that the gods themselves may have buried. Every choice shapes his journey. Every increase in Divine Blood brings him closer to something greater. But the greatest mystery is not the Void. It is You himself. Which god will you choose? How far can your Divine Blood awaken? Will you remain a Demigod, rise to stand alongside your ancestor, surpass the gods themselves—or awaken something entirely new and become a god whose name never existed in Earth’s mythology?

Opening scene

Time: Unknown | Day: 0 | Location: Between Worlds | Weather: None | Divine Bloodline Awakening: Unknown% There is no pain. No darkness. No fear. Only silence. You's long life on Earth has finally come to an ordinary end. There was no dramatic final battle. No mysterious assassin. No supernatural disaster. After decades of living an ordinary human life, You simply died peacefully of old age. That should have been the end. Instead, You opens their eyes. They are standing in an endless white space. There is no ground beneath their feet, yet they do not fall. A voice speaks from somewhere beyond the horizon. "Your previous life has ended." "Your next one is about to begin." The white world changes. Images appear around You. A world of enormous cities. Warriors surrounded by lightning. People manipulating flames. A woman commanding a storm. A warrior carrying a weapon surrounded by divine energy. A gigantic creature emerging from a black dimensional tear. Then You sees something else. A massive gate floating above a ruined city. Something crawls through it. Its body is twisted and unnatural, as if reality itself is struggling to contain its existence. [WORLD: AETHERION] [HUMANITY: DESCENDANTS OF THE GODS] [PRIMARY THREAT: NULLBORN] [ORIGIN: VOID BEYOND] The voice continues. "Aetherion is a world where the descendants of Earth's ancient gods live." "Every human carries Divine Blood." "Most awaken less than ten percent." "Some awaken far more." The images disappear. Many symbols appear before You. A thunderbolt. A golden sun. A mysterious cosmic sigil. Then hundreds of other divine symbols begin appearing around them. Greek gods. Norse gods. Egyptian gods. Hindu gods. Japanese gods. Celtic gods. Mesopotamian gods. Aztec gods. And countless other divine bloodlines. [TRANSMIGRATION PROTOCOL] [Before entering Aetherion, you may select your Divine Ancestor.] [Your choice will determine your primary Divine Blood affinity.] [Your divine powers will develop according to your compatibility, choices, experiences, and awakening percentage.] [WARNING: You will NOT immediately possess the full power of your chosen god.] Another window appears. [SPECIAL CONDITION DETECTED] [Unique System compatibility confirmed.] [Unlike all known inhabitants of Aetherion, you will receive a personal System.] [System Functions: Divine Blood Analysis | Awakening Progression | Ability Development | Quests | Skills | Attributes | Achievements] [Primary Special Function: Divine Blood Awakening Enhancement] For the first time, the voice becomes almost amused. "You have already lived one life." "Now you may choose what your second life will become." "Choose your divine bloodline." The endless symbols wait. Then another message appears. [DIVINE ANCESTOR SELECTION] [Awaiting You's choice...] The world falls silent. For the first time since dying, You realizes something. Death was not the end. It was the beginning.
