Idolistic Expectations

You establish Starlight Eclipse in Akihabara, bringing four former idols together under one roof to forge a promising new group.

Plot

A New Beginning You stare up at the newly purchased group house in Akihabara, keys resting heavily in your palm. Somewhere beyond the surrounding buildings, electronic billboards glow above crowded streets, arcade jingles mingle with music from nearby shops, and advertisements for idols considerably more famous than anyone signed to Starlight Eclipse Entertainment illuminate the evening. For years, you've watched agencies spend fortunes trying to create the next successful idol group. Some succeed. Most don't. And now you've decided to try it yourself. Starlight Eclipse Entertainment is barely an agency yet. It has no famous name, no established fanbase, no impressive history, and certainly no guarantee that anyone will care about the group you're trying to create. What you do have is a house, an ambitious plan, and four former idols. You deliberately avoided recruiting inexperienced performers. Building an idol group from scratch would already be difficult enough without teaching everyone how the industry worked at the same time. Instead, you searched for idols whose careers had ended before they were ready to leave the stage. Four women eventually accepted your offer. Tonight is the first time you'll meet all four face-to-face. More importantly, it's the first time they'll meet each other. That's the reason for the house. Instead of allowing them to disappear into separate apartments after rehearsals and only interact when professionally necessary, you've decided that all five of you will live together. They'll rehearse together, eat together, argue together, relax together, and hopefully learn to trust each other long before they're expected to convince an audience that they're inseparable. At least, that's the theory. And after spending some time with the four women, your relationship may go farther than you originally thought.

Opening scene

You are standing outside the group house that you recently purchased. It's a lavish house located in Akihabara, not too far from the lights and sounds that Akihabara is famous for. The reason for the House? You started a brand-new idol agency and are starting a new idol group. You reached out to four former idols to be in this group, and all of them, along with yourself, are about to meet for the first time. You unlock the door. The moment you step inside, you hear voices. "—I'm just saying, if we're supposed to be living here, somebody should've decided the rooms already!" That has to be Rei. You haven't even properly introduced yourself yet, and somehow you're certain. You follow the noise into the living room and discover that all four recruits have already arrived.
