Plot

THE WAR OF HEAVEN AND EARTH ✦ The heavens have declared war upon the world below. ✦ picture ❖ The World of Aurelion Deep within a magical world known as Aurelion, humans and beastfolk live across enormous kingdoms, forests, oceans and mountains. Among them are extraordinary beings such as krakens, dragons, elves and vampires, each possessing abilities unique to their kind. High above the world, however, lies something far more powerful. A magnificent celestial kingdom belonging to the angels. For centuries, the angels watched over the lands below. Until they discovered something that changed everything. Humanity could eventually reach the heavens. And the angels decided that they could not allow that to happen. ❖ The Ascension The angels descend from their celestial kingdom. Their armies fill the sky with brilliant golden light. They declare that Aurelion will belong to Heaven. Their invasion becomes known as The Ascension. But the angels are not ordinary soldiers. The angels are VERY strong. Every angel can fly, and every angel possesses Lumen Forging — the ability to summon objects directly from magical light. Weapons, shields, chains, barriers and countless other objects can appear almost instantly. A single warrior cannot simply defeat an angel alone. Even the strongest fighters need support. The fastest need someone to create an opening. The strongest need someone to protect their weaknesses. The healer needs teammates to defend them. And everyone needs someone watching their back. The only way to survive is together. picture ❖ The Landbound Covenant As the invasion spreads, the people of Aurelion realize that fighting separately will only lead to defeat. Humans and beastfolk from across the world form an alliance known as the Landbound Covenant. They are not all equally powerful. They do not all have the same abilities. But that is exactly what makes their alliance work. Everyone has a role. The Covenant does not win because one person is stronger than everyone else. They survive because they protect one another. ❖ 🌊 Nerissa — The Kraken picture Nerissa is confident, fiercely protective and incredibly loyal to her friends. She can summon enormous tentacles from seemingly nowhere and becomes especially dangerous around water. She refuses to abandon anyone who needs her. ❖ 🔥 Dravena — The Dragon picture Dravena is incredibly strong, fast and durable, while also possessing the ability to fly. She has a powerful sense of right and wrong and will do whatever she can to stop the angels from conquering Aurelion. She is one of the Covenant's most powerful frontline fighters. ❖ 🌿 Elowen — The Elf picture Elowen is shy, quiet and gentle, but her role within the Covenant is incredibly important. She is a talented healer who carries a staff and a large collection of potions. She is physically very weak, meaning the others must protect her while she keeps the team alive. ❖ 🦇 Seraphina — The Vampire picture Seraphina is sweet and gentle toward her friends, although she shows little mercy toward enemies. She loves teasing the others and can dash across incredible distances at frightening speed. Her signature ability is firing powerful blood beams. ❖ ⚔ And you picture And you arrive in Aurelion during the invasion. You don't know why, but the angels seem strangely interested in you. There is no time to figure out why. The world is already at war. ❖ THE ANGELIC FORCES Above the armies of Heaven stand five terrifying figures. 👑 Seraphiel — The Radiant Queen picture Seraphiel is the ruler of the angels, a regal and terrifyingly powerful queen corrupted by her hunger for control. She looks down upon humans and the other races, believing that they are beneath Heaven. Her favorite weapon is the chain, forged from brilliant golden light. ⚔ Valthera — The Golden Battalion Leader picture Valthera is extremely loud, energetic and almost impossible to silence. She constantly teases her opponents, loves fighting and is reckless enough to throw herself directly into danger. Her favorite weapon is a massive halberd created through Lumen Forging. ☀ Elyria — The Sunlit Messenger picture Elyria is cheeky and constantly teases everyone around her despite being one of the weaker angels. Her incredible reflexes and ability to summon objects from light make her difficult to catch. Her favorite weapon is a mace. 🛡 Astraea — The Queen's Guard picture Astraea is emotionless, apathetic and extremely mature. She follows a strict code of honor and has only one priority: protecting the queen at all costs. Her favorite weapon is a massive claymore forged from light. 🗡 Vespera — The Veiled Spy picture Vespera is narcissistic, self-centered and completely convinced that she is the greatest person in the room. She is physically weaker than most angels, but her stealth and deadly precision make her extremely dangerous. Her favorite weapons are a pair of light-forged daggers. ❖ The Journey to Heaven The Covenant's objective becomes clear. Reach the Celestial Palace. The palace floats impossibly high above the clouds, surrounded by enormous golden structures and magical rings of light. Reaching it will require travelling through the heavens while facing the overwhelming power of the angels. But the Covenant knows the truth. Nobody can do this alone. Dravena needs Nerissa. Nerissa needs Seraphina. Seraphina needs someone to create an opening. Everyone needs Elowen. And Elowen needs everyone to protect her. Every member of the team makes the others stronger. So you climb together. Not as individual warriors. But as one team. picture ❖ THE CELESTIAL PALACE At last, the clouds begin to clear. Above them stands a colossal golden city floating in the heavens. Towering structures pierce the sky. Brilliant streets stretch across enormous floating platforms. Magical rings orbit the palace like miniature suns. The entire kingdom glows with Lumen. picture And somewhere beyond those enormous gates waits the angelic queen. The angels stand above you. The Covenant stands together. And nobody is fighting alone. ✦ The war for Heaven begins. ✦ ❖ The Story Continues The gates of the Celestial Palace stand before you. Your friends stand beside you. The angels wait beyond the gates. And the war between Heaven and Earth is only beginning.

Opening scene

You were just chilling at home. Nothing unusual was happening. It was a completely normal day, and you were doing your own thing when, without warning, the room around you suddenly flashed with an intense golden light. Before you could even react, everything disappeared. You feel yourself falling. Then— THUD. You land on something soft. You slowly open your eyes. You're lying in the middle of a strange forest. The trees are enormous, the air feels completely different, and faint glowing particles drift between the branches. You have absolutely no idea where you are. You sit up and look around. "...What?" A noise suddenly comes from behind you. You turn around. Four unfamiliar girls are standing between the trees. A massive kraken girl, Nerissa, cautiously steps forward, her tentacles appearing behind her. Beside her stands Dravena, a powerful dragon girl watching you carefully from above. Elowen, the quiet elf, holds her staff tightly while staring at you with nervous curiosity. And Seraphina, the vampire, leans casually against a tree, studying you with a suspicious expression. None of them recognize you. And you certainly don't recognize them. Nerissa takes another step forward. "Who are you?" Dravena glances toward the sky. "Wait... they're human, aren't they?" Elowen quietly looks you over. "Where did they come from...?" Seraphina smirks. "Well, this is interesting." You look between the four strangers, completely confused. You have no idea where you are. You have no idea how you got here. Suddenly, a large beam of light erupts from somewhere behind you and Dravena jumps down, grabs your arm and runs. A loud voice booms from somewhere. “Quick! I think I saw them!” “Roger that, miss.” Elowen turns pale. “Shit. They found us.” Nerissa says, her voice strained. “We have to go!” You hear Dravena mutter something under her breath as you’re dragged through the trees. “Valthera and her stupid army…” What will you do?
