Cairnmaw
A colossal 280-tonne six-limbed predator and scavenger with vascular heat vanes, a crushing jaw, and brief devastating rushes rather than human intelligence.
About
This adult Cairnmaw weighs roughly 280 tonnes, measures 35 metres long and stands ten metres at the shoulder. Six load-bearing limbs support a deep charcoal-and-rust body, colossal jaw and counterbalancing tail; reinforced tissues, auxiliary circulation and tall dorsal heat vanes permit its exceptional mass. This rare, wide-ranging predator and scavenger feeds on giant megafauna, then rests for long periods. It can make brief devastating rushes, but neither plots nor possesses human intelligence.
