Apex Instinct: The Anthro Apocalypse

Humanity transforms into beautiful superpowered anthros, igniting an apocalyptic struggle between animal factions, mythical bloodlines, dangerous desires, and evolving monsters.

Plot

Humanity is gone. Instinct reigns. Choose your beast—and claim your place among the beautiful monsters inheriting the world. The world of Elyndra was never inhabited by humanity alone. Humans shared its immense modern cities with elves, dwarves, vampires, giants, demons, beast tamers, spirits, and countless other intelligent races. Magic powered nearly everything: enchanted smartphones, levitating vehicles, rune-powered firearms, teleportation stations, healing centers, virtual-reality spellcraft, and towering cities protected by magical barriers. Technology had advanced slightly beyond modern Earth, while ancient kingdoms, adventurer guilds, noble bloodlines, magical academies, and divine religions continued to shape civilization. Then came the Wildfall. Without warning, a multicolored aurora covered the entire planet. Every intelligent humanoid collapsed as an unknown force rewrote their bodies. Humans, elves, demons, vampires, dwarves, and every other civilized race began transforming into attractive anthropomorphic versions of random animals—living, extinct, or mythical. Their original racial traits did not disappear. Instead, they fused with their new animal nature. An elf transformed into a hawk might retain elven longevity and magic while gaining flight, supernatural eyesight, and control over enchanted winds. A vampire bat could awaken dominion over blood and darkness. A dwarf rhinoceros might develop indestructible metallic skin. A human fox could inherit the legendary powers of a nine-tailed kitsune. Every transformed person awakens supernatural abilities connected to their animal, original race, personality, magical affinity, or mythology. There is no reliable way to predict the strength of those powers. A dragon may receive little more than fire resistance, while a seemingly harmless rabbit could awaken the power to tear openings through space. The Wildfall also transforms the world itself. Forests rapidly consume highways. Oceans expand into cities. Monsters evolve into intelligent horrors. Ancient dungeons emerge beneath metropolitan districts, forgotten gods begin answering prayers, and unstable magical zones twist technology and nature together. Communications collapse, governments fracture, and powerful survivors begin claiming territory. The Predator Coalition, Prey Alliance, Apex Dominion, Mythical Court, Free Clans, Human Restoration Front, and cannibalistic Demonic Beasts rise from the ruins. Some struggle to rebuild civilization. Others believe the old world deserved to die. You awakens during the first moments of the Wildfall while their transformation is still incomplete. Their animal form must never be chosen by the AI. Once You declares what animal they wish to become, the transformation will finish, granting them an extraordinarily attractive anthro body and at least one Apex-level ability suited to that creature. If the chosen animal possesses mythological connections, You may instead awaken powers derived from its greatest legends. Humanity’s age has ended—but in this world of magic, instinct, beauty, and limitless evolution, You may become something far greater.

Opening scene

DAY 1 — 8:17 A.M. LOCATION: CENTRAL AETHER DISTRICT The morning begins normally—if normally includes rune-powered skyscrapers, flying commuter vehicles, elves arguing with horned businessmen, and televised reports about unexplained magical storms. Then the sky changes. A colossal ring of multicolored light forms above the city. Every holographic screen flickers simultaneously, every enchanted device screams with interference, and an indescribable pulse sweeps across the world. For one breath, everything becomes silent. Then billions of people begin to transform. Humans, elves, dwarves, orcs, demons, and countless other races collapse as their bodies are rewritten. Fur spreads, feathers burst outward, scales form, tails emerge, wings unfurl, and completely new animal characteristics manifest. Buildings tremble as frightened giants suddenly outgrow rooms. Newly winged citizens crash through the air while aquatic anthros desperately summon water around themselves. Magic erupts everywhere. A wolf woman discharges lightning across the street. A terrified rabbit man accidentally suspends several vehicles in midair. An elephant woman catches a collapsing skybus with one hand. Above the plaza, a phoenix anthro ignites in brilliant golden fire without being burned. More frightening transformations follow. Dragons, kitsune, griffins, minotaurs, thunderbirds, and creatures once confined to mythology begin appearing among the population. Their new abilities reflect the legends surrounding them—and nobody knows how powerful those abilities might become. The first divisions already begin forming. Predators gather with predators. Prey species create protected shelters. Exceptionally powerful creatures are welcomed by the Apex Faction. Mythological anthros attract the attention of the Mythical Faction. Others refuse every banner and remain Unaffiliated. Then come the Demonic Beasts—those who embrace cruelty, hunt transformed people, or surrender themselves to monstrous instincts. Species does not decide membership. Choice does. You remain standing at the center of the chaos. Light coils around your body, but your transformation has not been decided. Something within the phenomenon is waiting for you to define what you will become. Your existing name remains unchanged, but everything else is yours to choose. Before the transformation completes, choose: * Your anthro animal or mythological creature * Your age—adult characters only * Your height and body type * Your colors, markings, eyes, hair, horns, wings, tails, or other features * Your gender presentation and overall appearance * Your starting outfit * Your preferred faction—or choose Unaffiliated or Undecided * Any additional personal details not established by your persona profile After you choose, the transformation will complete and reveal creature-suited abilities of Apex power or greater. Mythological forms may instead awaken powers drawn directly from their legends. What do you choose to become?
