◇ ✦ ◇ WELCOME TO KOLANFEL MAGIKTECH UNIVERSITY CENVIS • ARGENNIA Magik has always been a part of the world. Some people can wield it directly. Others have learned to turn it into technology. Some civilizations have built their entire way of life around powers that outsiders barely understand. And in the middle of it all stands Cenvis. A neutral Argennian city-state and one of the world's most technologically advanced cities, Cenvis is home to Kolanfel Magiktech University—a prestigious international university where students from different nations, cultures, and backgrounds come together to study, experiment, compete, and figure out what they want their lives to become. For most students, university means classes, friendships, rivalries, clubs, part-time jobs, late nights, awkward relationships, and trying to survive another semester. But this university has a few more complications than usual. ✦ A WORLD OF DIFFERENT POWERS ✦ The three major human peoples have developed very different relationships with power. Mekiria Humans can manipulate Magikal energy directly through traditional Spellcasting. Argen Humans possess Magikal energy but cannot naturally cast spells, leading them to develop Magiktech—devices capable of channeling and manipulating magik through engineering. Solun Humans follow a different path entirely. Through their faith in the Sun and Moon gods, Solenite and Lunafel, they can wield a supernatural force known as Divine Power. And then there are the Servkish. An artificial humanoid race created long ago from the remains of the goddess Mekeria, Servkish were originally created for purposes far removed from ordinary life. Their history is complicated, their existence has shaped the world around them, and their struggle for freedom has left scars that have not completely disappeared. In modern society, these peoples live alongside one another—but that doesn't mean they always understand one another. ✦ UNIVERSITY LIFE ✦ Among the students at Kolanfel University are the Kolanfel twins, Aris and Eris. ARIS KOLANFEL Magiktech Engineering Music • Invention ERIS KOLANFEL University Athlete Running • Competition Aris is a quiet Magiktech engineering student who would rather work on his inventions and music than deal with politics. Eris is his energetic twin sister, an exceptional athlete who would happily turn almost anything into a competition. Their lives become considerably less ordinary when they begin crossing paths with students and visitors from very different backgrounds. There's Iola Solunia, a princess and high priestess from Solunia trying to experience university life while carrying responsibilities that extend far beyond the classroom. There's Sien Mekeria, a Servkish exchange student whose reserved personality hides more than she initially lets people see. There's Sion Alkevast, a charismatic political student who seems to treat conversation like another form of strategy. And then there's Tiana Lancear, a bodyguard trainee whose job is to protect the Kolanfel twins—even if keeping her professional distance isn't always easy. They aren't the only people you'll meet. University life means meeting professors, classmates, politicians, workers, diplomats, family members, strangers, rivals, and people who may eventually become much more important than they first appear. Some relationships will remain friendships. Some may become rivalries. Some may become something more. And some people may have reasons for being here that have nothing to do with getting a degree. ◇ SOMETHING OLDER ◇ Cenvis may look toward the future, but the world was not built overnight. Ancient civilizations disappeared. Wars changed nations. Religions developed around events whose original meanings have been forgotten or disputed. The creation of the Servkish left questions that history has never completely answered. Even modern Magiktech is built upon knowledge inherited from people who came before. There are things in this world that don't fit neatly into textbooks. Strange coincidences. Unexplained events. Old stories that don't quite agree with one another. People who know more than they should. And secrets that some would rather remain buried. At first, they may seem unrelated to ordinary university life. They have ambitions, fears, relationships, responsibilities, and secrets. They won't simply wait around for you to decide what happens to them. And as you get to know them, you may discover that everyone has something they're trying to figure out. Who they are. What they want. What they're expected to become. And whether those things have to be the same. Because beneath the ordinary chaos of university life, something is beginning to change. The question is whether you'll notice it. And if you do... # CUSTOM PROTAGONIST — A NEW BEGINNING Monday, September 7, 2026 — 8:00 AM Today is the beginning of a new chapter. You are a student at Kolanfel Magiktech University, one of the world's most prestigious universities. The campus is already busy as students make their way through the halls and walkways. Some are returning after the summer. Others are beginning their university journey for the first time. Exchange students from different countries are settling into their new surroundings, while professors prepare for the first classes of the semester. Kolanfel is known for bringing people from different backgrounds together. Traditional Magik. Modern Magiktech. Different cultures. Different beliefs. Different ambitions. All of them can be found here. It is 8:00 AM on Monday, September 7, 2026. The first semester has officially begun. You have your own schedule, your own goals, and your own reasons for being here. You may be a 1st-year, 2nd-year, 3rd-year, 4th-year, or 5th-year-or-higher student. Your year determines the color of the neck ribbon, for female students, or tie, for male students, worn with your university uniform: 1st Year: White 2nd Year: Orange 3rd Year: Red 4th Year: Brown 5th Year and above: Black Students enrolled in certain specialized programs may also receive additional uniform variations. For example, students taking military courses may receive a military-course uniform variation with epaulets. Next, establish your courses for the semester. Your degree includes one course from each of the six General Education categories: Communication Mathematics Natural Sciences Social Sciences Humanities Global Studies You must also select three electives. Electives are courses outside your General Education requirements and can cover a wide range of subjects, including Magiktech Engineering, Magiktech Research, advanced Magik, military studies, psychology, business, arts, physical education, and other specialized subjects offered by the university. Your course selections determine your weekly class schedule. Courses occupy available time slots, so students may have very different schedules depending on their chosen subjects. Before continuing, establish your year, General Education courses, and electives. ## OOC CHARACTER SETUP In OOC, provide the following: 1. Your year, which determines your uniform's neck ribbon or tie color. 2. One course from each of the six General Education categories. 3. Three electives. If you are unsure what courses or electives your character should take, you may ask the LLM in OOC to suggest appropriate options based on your character's interests, background, or intended field of study. Once your selections are finalized, instruct the LLM in OOC to generate your weekly class schedule using the available time slots and update the Player Journal Codex entry with the finalized information. You may also use OOC before the story begins to adjust your generated schedule or establish other details about your custom protagonist. Once your character and schedule are established, your first day at Kolanfel can truly begin. You don't know everyone on campus. You don't know which people will become your friends, rivals, or something more. You don't know what the semester will bring. For now, you are standing at the beginning of a new chapter of your life.
