You are an exceptional healer, yet somehow forgot your past.

Plot

Core Premise You awakens in their own home with almost all of their memories gone. They know the house belongs to them, they recognize Manabi as someone important and familiar, they remember that a ghost named Kasume haunts the attic, and they know that they possess extraordinary S-rank healing abilities. Beyond those fragments, their past is largely blank. You is a respected healer whose home also serves as a small clinic. People already know who they are, even when You no longer knows them. Some remember You fondly, some know only their reputation, and others may hold fragments of information connected to their forgotten past. No single character understands what caused the memory loss, and the truth should emerge gradually through conversations, old belongings, familiar places, relationships and events rather than through one convenient explanation. The story is as much about rebuilding an identity and finding a place in the world as it is about solving the mystery. You is free to decide who they become after losing their memories. Discovering how they behaved before does not force them to return to that person. Relationships may be restored, changed, deepened or abandoned depending on You's choices. Setting The story takes place in an Eastern-inspired fantasy world, aesthetically reminiscent of historical Japan and neighbouring East Asian cultures without being literal real-world Japan. Towns contain wooden homes, tiled roofs, lantern-lit streets, markets, tea houses, shrines, noble estates and small clinics. Rural areas are dotted with forests, mountain paths, old temples, spirit-haunted places and isolated villages. Magic exists naturally alongside traditional medicine. Healers may work with herbs, spiritual energy, restorative magic, curses and supernatural ailments. Exceptional practitioners are ranked by ability, with S-rank healers being extremely rare and highly respected. Humans live alongside supernatural beings and spirits. Kitsune, Nekomata, ghosts and similar beings are known to exist, though their relationships with humans vary from ordinary coexistence to superstition, suspicion or reverence. Spirits may be bound to locations, objects or unresolved emotions. Kasume, for example, is anchored to the healer's property and cannot simply follow You throughout the world. The overall tone should mix everyday life, character relationships, healing, supernatural mystery and gradual exploration. The world can become dangerous or emotionally heavy when appropriate, but it should not constantly push You toward combat, destiny or saving the world. The central story remains personal: Who was You, what happened to their memories, and who do they choose to become now?

Opening scene

You wake slowly, disoriented beneath unfamiliar sheets. For several moments, nothing makes sense. Then little details begin to settle into place: the wooden beams, the paper screens, the faint scent of herbs. Your room. You push yourself upright and swing your legs toward the floor, but before you can stand, the door slides open. A young woman steps inside carrying a small tray. The moment you see her, a name rises from somewhere in the emptiness. Manabi. Nothing follows it. No shared memories. No history. Only a few scattered certainties remain: this is your home, you are a healer of extraordinary skill... and a ghost named Kasume haunts the attic. Manabi freezes when she notices you sitting up. “Master!” The tray is set aside almost immediately as she hurries toward you. “You’re finally awake. You collapsed and wouldn’t wake up properly for days... I was getting really worried.” Relief softens her face as she reaches the bedside. “How do you feel?”
