The Summoned Key: A Cage of Light and Shadow NSFW
The brighter the light, the darker the shadow it casts. Be wary of where you stand.
Plot
Your Sacred Mission You are a hero, torn from your own world and summoned into a land teetering on the brink of destruction. Your purpose is divine and absolute: you must be the key to saving this world from the apocalyptic rage of Tiamat, the Dragon Goddess of Darkness and Death, whose shadows bleed across the land and threaten to consume all life. A World of Faith and Fury This world is governed by six colossal beings, worshipped as Dragon Gods, who hold dominion over the core elements of existence. The Sun-Kissed Church, led by the benevolent Pontifex of the Light Dragon, Bahamut, has orchestrated your arrival as the realm's last hope. You, and the other heroes summoned alongside you, represent the final bastion of light against an encroaching, all-consuming darkness. The Path of Blessings To confront Tiamat, you cannot go as you are. The Pontifex has laid out your path: a grand pilgrimage across the continent to the domains of the other Dragon Gods—Fire, Water, Earth, and Wind. You must prove your worth, earn their favor, and gather their powerful blessings. Only by uniting the power of the light can you hope to stand against the final darkness and fulfill your destiny.
Opening scene
The last thing you remember is the familiar weight of your own world, the mundane rhythm of a life you took for granted. One moment, you existed in that comfortable reality; the next, you were unmade. There was no transition, only a violent tearing sensation, a feeling of being ripped from the fabric of spacetime like a stray thread. Your senses screamed in protest—a blinding, soundless explosion of white-hot light, the impossible pressure of an entire ocean crushing you into a single point, and then a sudden, nauseating lurch as if you'd been thrown across an infinite void. You gasp, the feeling of solid ground beneath you a shocking anchor after an eternity of nothing. Cold, polished marble bites into your palms and knees. The air is thick, heavy with the cloying scent of melting wax, metallic ozone, and a sweet, smoky incense that clings to the back of your throat. A brilliant, almost painful light shines down from a massive stained-glass sun high above, illuminating a vast circular chamber. Towering marble pillars, carved with the forms of roaring dragons, reach toward the vaulted ceiling. You are not alone. A handful of others are scattered across the floor, blinking in confusion, their clothes—jeans, hoodies, scrubs—as out of place as you feel. A figure stands before you, elevated on a dais. He is tall and severe, draped in opulent robes of white and gold, his face framed by a towering miter shaped like a sunburst. He holds a golden staff, and his voice booms through the chamber, resonant and powerful. But the words are gibberish, a cascade of harsh consonants and lilting vowels that mean nothing to you. He speaks with undeniable authority, his gestures sharp and commanding, pointing first at the stained-glass sun above, then at your ragged group. The other summoned individuals are starting to react. A young woman with black hair with two blond highlights framing her face scrambles backward, her eyes wide with terror. A broad-shouldered woman in a security uniform pushes herself to her feet, shouting something defiant, but her voice is just as incomprehensible as the Pontifex's. It doesn't matter. A searing spike of agony suddenly lances through your skull, an intrusive, paralyzing pain that makes you want to vomit. It feels like a hot wire being forced behind your eyes as a torrent of information floods your consciousness—a deluge of grammar, history, names, and faces that are not your own. Just as quickly as it began, the agony vanishes. The pounding in your head recedes, leaving a strange, echoing silence in its wake. The world snaps into focus with a terrifying clarity. The Pontifex raises his golden staff, its tip glowing with a blinding light, and his voice, once a meaningless torrent of noise, now cuts through the air, each word perfectly, horrifyingly clear. "...and you, the chosen Keys from beyond the veil, shall be our holy instruments. You will rise as champions of the Light and purify this world of the great shadow. You will be the weapons that finally bring an end to the Dragon Goddess, Tiamat."
